I watched episode 1 and I wasn't very interesting at all. Then later... about often Sunday evening when Jeff uploaded Hibiki clips, I saw the clips. I still didn't like that much. It doesn't interests me alot.:disappoin

I've seen the entire thing, movie, hyper battler, full series. It's got faults, but it's nowhere near as bad as red says it is. But then again, it's kinda hard to get a good idea on a series when all you've seen is one episode and random clips. I'd rank it as my second favorite series next to Agito.
Kabuto just doesn't look all that great. We're back to pretty boy riders who probably won't be able to act. Looks like we're getting a dumb sidekick in the main guy's sister, and my biggest gripe, the story so far sounds like a rip of Blade's.

I wanted to like it since I think it's filmed in a semi-cool manner, the cast is likable, I like the traditional Japanese elements and I think the designs and Shigeki Hosokawa are cool, but there's really nothing to like about the show. I can't say I hate it, either since...there's nothing to hate about the show. It's all just one big CGI Makamou of nothing. Kamen Rider Seinfeld, as I call it. Those crafty devils at Toei! They put out a product that's so inoffensive in its nothingness, there's nothing bad you can say about the show! :laugh: I've seen a little over half of the series, too, which I feel is a fairer shot than most viewers give most series (meanwhile, I gave their precious Garo 7 chances before I fell asleep on it).
If even it had a little story, I'd support it more, but it really was more by the numbers and aimless than something like Henshin Ninja Arashi, which I at least cut that slack for being one of the oldies. No story is almost worse in comparison to a zigzagging mess of story like Faiz. In addition, it would have helped if the villains had the slightest hint of a personality.
One can suspend their disbelief so much, and it hits that point once you see a Rider whip out a trumpet to play (I'm in the minority of actually thinking Hibiki's sticks are cool) and you've seen the oni camp out for the 1,000th time. My theory? Garo has some ideas of what I thought Hibiki was going to be like. The two staffs should have joined together, Keita Amemiya working for Hibiki, and maybe something would have turned out right.
But the only thing I'll be checking out Kabuto for is Takaiwa's action. Not a very promising looking show, if you ask me -- I was glad to be rid of Faiz/Blade, now here's their triplet.
