Kamen Rider Gaim - News/Rumors Thread 2: Suffering Incoming

Well, Urobuchi was a fan of Ryuki and I'm pretty sure one of Takebe's goal with Gaim was to shift the tone back to older Heisei Rider, so I wouldn't be that shocked if Gaim's summer movie turned out to be an AU story. Gaim's "Episode Final" if you will.

And if "OOO Wonderful" is evident of anything, Takebe isn't really a stickler for continuity when it comes to the movies .

So even if it's not an "Episode Final" kinda movie or an AU like Faiz, Blade, or Kabuto's movies, I don't expect continuity will be that big a deal in the Gaim movie. Though I wonder if Urobuchi will actually even write it?

I could definitely see, and appreciate, Hase coming back for the summer movie in some form :).

I wonder if Gaim will get a movie-exclusive final form?Takebe's last Rider summer movie didn't have one, but I wonder if that's a creative choice or because Bandai didn't have/want to design a final form? Or are those separate from Bandai to begin with?

Uh, Burakawani? It was Tier 1 form, just like Tajador and Ptotyra.

I think we had this same discussion for Wizard's movie, but I don't think Burakawani is in the same vein as CycloneJoker Extreme, Meteor Fusion States, or Infinity All Dragon.

Burakawani is pretty much on the same level as the other OOO combos, and while it is a movie-exclusive form, Super Tatoba fits the movie final form archetype much better for OOO. Burakawani is basically OOO's equivalent to Wing Form.

Yup - I think Super TaToBa appears alongside those forms you mentioned in Heisei vs Showa.

Isn't it better though? All these final final for real this time forms cheapen the impact. At the time, it was as good as one.

All of Takebe's movies never seem to go for outright AU settings tough. It's just that they contradict the shows in various ways. OOO's movies even were referenced in the show in spite of that (cell counterparts of the black medals, as well as an actual cameo of the orange medals).

Also, don't forget that the whole point of Episode Final was that it aired halfway through Ryuki's run, so it was offering an ending much sooner than the real ending. With the current placement of the movies, you'd have the alternate ending movie right alongside the real ending.

Sengoku Battle for once, based on the reports, didn't seem to suffer from that though, and all foreshadowing there (like the other Beat Rider teams, Genesis Driver and an early appearance of Yoko) fit with what the tv show eventually did too.

but I wonder if that's a creative choice or because Bandai didn't have/want to design a final form? Or are those separate from Bandai to begin with?

I'd say it's both. Bandai clearly didn't design anything specifically to be a movie exclusive final form (unlike Fourze Fusion States), but they could include a movie exclusive final form even without associated toys, if it's just a color swap (Cyclone Joker Xtreme Gold and Wizard's Movie Wars exclusive forms all fit there). Or they could have used Brakawani's design, but built it up above the other medals, like what the tv show did with Putotyra, something that they also didn't do.

As far as Gaim goes though, I think it's very likely we'll get some movie exclusive form from Bandai, with a new lockseed and all. Considering the escalation we've seen too, and one more level still to come, I'll be very surprised if it's just a random standard lockseed.

I'd hate for that to happen just because that would raise strange plot holes of how trees grow guns with dj turntables and grapes on them. It's probably best to just leave it as how it is now, with Yggdrasil finding ways to use the energy inside the fruits to create gear for the Riders with various things contained in each fruit affecting what Lock Seed the Sengoku Driver will be able to turn it into.

Technically it wouldn't be a plothole IF the tree they come from have been created through some reaction by the helheim forest in accordance to the creation of the lockseeds.

Oh well, i just wanna see where the arms come from. They come from somewhere in the forest, juging by their backdrop.

They're created anywhere in Helheim. Note that when we see lockseeds used in Helheim itself, the Arms are created from energy or CG juice, they don't come from cracks.

Do you guys think the summer Gaim movie will have a cameo of the 2014/2015 Kamen Rider.
