All in all, I'd say this is definitely one of the best shows of the franchise. Certainly the best of the post-Decade ones and it definitely is up there with the earlier Heisei works. I have my share of issues with it, and I do think it didn't fully tap into the potential that many of its concepts and characters could have utilized, but all in all, I think I could give it a solid 8.5 out of 10. The epilogue really helped, I admit. I really hope Drive can hold up, the bar just got raised a lot higher now for these post-Decade shows, at least in my book.
Also, I would actually count the soccer episode as part of the story given the epilogue, because now the villain presented in it is sort of tied into the series. Essentially, it could be seen as foreshadowing for the epilogue, even without the movie's full explanation that we'll get when it comes out.

Look back at the show itself, though. We had Kouta eating the fruit right in front of his sister and she was completely fine. It was everywhere, but none of the survivors were eating it. You are quite right that this is probably the case, but there's a significant portion of the show where a ton of fruit is just lying out in the open but people are ignoring it.

All on-screen scenes of someone eating a Helheim fruit shows that someone actually looking at the fruit or even grabbed it before being tempted into eating it.
I think direct eye contact that lasts more than a second (in other words, not just a glance) is needed for the "hypnosis" to take effect.

That's awfully convenient, though, and it makes the issue seem a lot less dire than it was played up to be earlier on if all it takes is to just not look at the things.

My theory of the fruit would have to be that the victim needs to be relatively calm in order for the pheromone/ hypnosis thing to take effect. You only ever saw people eat the fruit either when they were absolutely starving, or alone & off guard, but never during the process of the world being conquered by Helheim or the Overlords & never when Inves were around.
Not to mention, never by the people who actually knew what they were & what they could do.

Just read the final thoughts of the staff and cast of Gaim on Aesir. They looked like a family and everyone was sad that the show is over and they all can't wait to return for Movie War. Gotta admit, Gaim is the first toku show since Gokaiger makes me want the cross-over movie to come out immidiately so that I can see them again. Good thing the summer movie will come out in November and Aesir confirmed they will sub it

Just say the rider lockseeds for the main four gaim riders, they look awesome. Can't wait for what the Baron one says, I kind of hope it says "Fight for survival".
