Kamen Rider Gaim Ep 40 - "The Overlords Awaken!"

Kouta and Ryoma manage to infiltrate the tower, only to find Redyue's device and Akira hooked up to it. Redyue informs Kouta that he has become one of them, rather than a human, and proceeds to show him his apparent destiny.

Long story short, **** just got real.

Holy hell, what Redyue put Kouta through... that was dark. But finally, Gaim has gotten amazing again. This was a fantastic episode, and I cannot wait for next week.

Kaito's striking the belt. Either Micchy didn't notice or just didn't think it was significant. But as Kaito says, he is indeed an idiot.

Speaking of striking the belt... OH JESUS THE PREVIEW.

Looks like next week is the finale before the finale like Kamen Rider usually does. It's gonna be epic.

But man, Kaito meeting up with Mitchi was super intense. I loved the role switching with Yuuya and Kouta (he even got his own Henshin pose!) and this episode really makes you think: the Femushinmu and humanity are really pretty much the same.

And man, Sagara is cruel. Making Kouta play a game and pretty much sacrifice himself for the sake of humanity or vice versa. Truly a serpent.

If we didn't know any better, it would look like 41 is the last episode, it just screams series finale, yet after it we still have Micchy, Redyue, and Sagara to deal with.

For the next episode preview, Kouta is holding a broken Kachidoki Lockseed, but it starts glowing blue, so he may awaken his Overlord power.

Doesn't look like it worked though. Micchy's Genesis Driver looks perfectly fine in the preview as he's seen kicking Oren and Jonouichi's asses in Melon Energy Arms.

If conjuring plants at the end of this episode isn't, then I don't know what is.

It may not but preview doesn't show everything. For all we know, the Genesis Driver will crap out on him during the fight.

I assume its Urobutchy trolling us by saying "Nope. Genesis Drivers are unbreakable unless your name is Roshou." Not saying that it won't crap out, but high hopes have usually been crushed throughout the course of the series.

That dream scene was quite dark considering it was literally a parallel to Hase's experience after he turned into an Inves.

Micchi's Genesis Driver will break, calling it now. It's like Gamel in OOO, who had his Cores broken but didn't die until receiving a blow from the Birth bros.
