Kamen Rider Fourze THE MOVIE: Everyone, It's Space Time! Rumor/Picture Thread

No, they're homages. They wouldn't have written a movie villain to be the final big bad, so no Gamou most likely wouldn't have been serving them all this time.

Yes they're homages, but are they related to the actual show? Or did Toei decide for the sake of it to use the names and designs and market it as a homage? The Net Movies even show footage from the 70s show.

Some of Ishinomori's other heroes cameod in LGKR. Does this mean that in the W-through Fourze continuity they all coexist? If so, then it is a big coincidence that two Kyodain siblings and a giant robot unrelated to the original characters suddenly appear.

Regarding the Kyodain siblings and XVII, are they actually related to the shows Kyodain and Daitetsujin 17 or is it just a coincidence that they share the names and designs?

They don't actually share names though - the original Kyodain siblings weren't called Skydain and Groundain, same for "XV-II" compared to "Daitetsujin 17". On the other hand, there's a villain called Black Knight just like in the original Kyodain series.... So, if they mention any direct story connection, rather than just homages, it likely will be related to him.

The crew that made Let's Go Kamen Riders really didn't seem worried about continuity at all, especially considering their mix of Shocker and Gel-Shocker for the 70s timeline of the movie. It also has been the only modern movie that hasn't been acknowledged at all by any later production. So, I really wouldn't look at it as relevant to continuity.

It was just proper fanservice bringing together the old and the new.

Sort of a; This is all the Kamen Riders, we'll show them to you. If you like any of the old guys from this you can see more by buying the DVD/Blu-Ray etc. of the older shows. And here, also takes these similar shows we also did.

Don't be surprised if the Den-Liner Crew and/or OOO remember LGKR, though.

I think we've already gone past that point though. If they were going to reference that movie, we'd have seen it in Movie Wars Megamax or Super Hero Taisen, but there has been nothing said about that. I expected that to happen, but, there's really nothing.

It's never too late, it took them a year and a half to reference W Forever. And with Team Denliner travelling again to 1971, who knows?

In movies there is no such thing as continuity. If they do screw up some where or mention somthing, Toei still has the tried and true method for writing it off.

Blame It On Decade...

AR worlds acount for everything, ever, always. They can do whatever they want at this point and get away with it, even the continuity destroyer that is LGKR. Decade was there, thus making it an AR world...Toei has found the method for which to make the most money off of exclusive figures and toys forever.

Ever since W started, Toei has been trying to keep all of the Riders under one roof. Since it would be more easier, than how it was in the 2000's. While continuity is far from perfect, at least they were consistant on how the past & current Riders imediately recognize each other during the Movie Wars. The truth is that it's mostly up to the producers on how the movies are handled. Especially if they don't want the writers to feel that they working with handcuffs on.

I don't get Toei's supposed aversion to having Showa Rider actors appear on-screen for these movies because "cyborgs don't age" when Hiroshi Miyauchi constantly reprises his role as Big One from JAKQ, a team of cyborgs, in Sentai anniversaries.

LGKR could easily have just been Eiji meeting Hongo, Ichimonji, and anyone willing to show up, unmasked and teaming up with them against DaiShocker as a follow-up to the 1000th episode two-parter. (Which of course would need a bit of a rewrite itself, namely that ridiculous reenactment of the very first episode after Eiji told Maki to never see him again. The Shocker grunt creating a Yummy could stay, and then maybe Kougami meets Shocker members or they just appear with their own Core Medals and Greed, or something.)

And don't shoehorn in Den-O. Make it Decade, or W, or no one at all.
