I tried my best to forget this one....
By the way our first zodiart was the biggest bad guy in all heisei riders no ?
I found him awesome, maybe not really talkative and without any goal except destroying everything around but really impressive ! I don't talk about the Hibiki cgi's makmu but only about stuntman character.
the only problem is then to make it move for a real good fight but well.... This one was a good first one.
The best maybe could be that our 12 Zodiarts are student from school and teachers as well. our cheerleader could be a good zodiarts.
The all against 3 is a cliche but could bring something. Kamen Rider is always an outsider getting in the fight to save the day, in this case, he would be right in the middle trying to keep the balance by trying to get friendship as gentaro and fighting as fourze.
1.Hmm i think it's part of the focus regarding to having a more "human" element within the show.To give characters more "character".
Kamen Rider is evolving beyond just a mere good vs evil superhero show after all.
However,now with this new era, continuity is a mess.
Hmm,but i admit a change in the formula might be needed to keep things fresh.
2.That,is real controversial.I seriously wonder if this is an Anime Trope.
But no,i think it really should not be done.What will the kids think? Flouting the no colored hair dye rule?
3. This,i have no freaking idea what was going in her head.She isn't freaking out,but the complete opposite reaction.
4.Erm that isn't really a problem.The Op song has been used to good effect as a insert song for the fights.

Yes, for other shows. But this isn't a good fight song. Actually, none of the Heisei Rider OPs really work well in fights.

Yuki. the geek that she is, was finally seeing Fourze used after apparently her and Kengo were having trouble figuring out how they would use it when the Zodiarts started appearing. They were prepared to see the Zodiarts, they just didn't know what to do when it happens.
Someone had to run Gen through the use of the suit and she was the only one there. Probably because Kengo was moping around somewhere.

Yep,i remember insert songs back in the day.Good times.

I was thinking also about the next Rider,
Everything started with Decade in a way.... Although most of the rider can change form, let's look at the new decade, he was able with his belt to change into 1 other form, then W had a belt he needed 2 items to change, then OOO with a belt for 3 items and now Fourze with 4....
What can Bandai do next to that ? Impossible to cut it in 5 or 6.... Except if next rider is Kamen Rider Tako (Octopus) ...
I was finding W really cool and OOO was well done in fact, here Fourze looks a bit like James Bond, it's more tools than a power, I really like his kick though.
but taking into account this new idea of bandai to update the ganbaride game in Japan with first the card, then the memory, the medals and now the switches....
All riders are different and bringing another atmosphere, the kameo movie has always be a weird thing to me, generally it does not bring anything to both.
I dream of a rider with simplier belt and power but I don't think toei and Bandai can move a step back, imagine just for the toys, OOO was bringing so many version, W also, Fourze will go same way. You can expect as the gaia memory and the medals for the former rider (ganbaride) to find switch kiva, den-o, etc....

So, I just watched the first episode of Fourze, finally! Gotta say I was quite fond of it. It has been a while since I'm so fond of a first episode, especially one with so much CGI, flying and explosions. I liked the tone of the episode, it didn't turn me off like how Den-O did in the very first episode and I'm surprised that I like Gen already too, usually it takes a while for a character like him to grow on me, sometimes never. Of course, don't know what my opinion of it will be after the series get the balls rolling. Maybe it's because I saw all the comments about Fourze before hand and did not expect a grim dark serious rider show.
I remember someone saying the monster wasn't very menacing or they do not cause any sense of fear, but I think those designs could work. But it's too soon to judge anyway. I kinda like the big red thing anyways, reminds me of Frankenstein's monster. I'm interested whether the show goes the comedy direction or will start to take things seriously later on.
I guess I'm the only one who wasn't so disturbed by Yuki's cheerfulness, now that I think about, yeah it feels sorta out of place. But maybe it's because she's too much of a geek to erally be scared at this point, considering that she and Kengo seems to already know about all this stuff. We can't say for sure that they had not encounter other Zodiarts before, that's how you spell the monsters species name right?

Besides the fact that her cheerfully demonstrating how to transform is adorable, it makes sense. I mean, obviously she and Kengo already know about the Zodiarts and have nurtured the Fourze driver. This strange world of monsters isn't new to them. And she just found a new potential host for Fourze in Gentaro, so of course she's excited. Seemed natural to me.
