I actually found this episode hard to watch.

Sure, the bubbly slapstick at first was expected and fun to watch, because Fourze tends to have its episodes centered around making much of the first half or so like this, before getting more serious and down to business in the second, but it felt like most of the episode is pure slapstick and hijinks. I reduced myself to just sitting there, eye anxiously watching the episode timer tick away, and Leo still hadn't entered the fray after 20 minutes.

The girl absolutely gets on my nerves, though Ryusei's reaction towards it is amusing. It's funny how no one else in the show has really annoyed me this much, up until this Yukina girl. Sure, it's probably the ultimate point of her - to be annoying - but God, I hate this guest character. She's making me wish for this otherwise interesting Kyoto arc to end. :redface2:

I do like how Tatsugami is quite clearly a menacing badass, and even better was the series re-debut of Foundation X. Gamou and the Horoscopes getting gritty with business in Kyoto, and this business of "The Hole" is wonderfully relevant to the overarching plot.

At the 33rd episode, we truly do need to accelerate the story somewhere. It's just too bad that as I said already, much of the episode was just slapstick and hijink, relegating everything else to the background, including the woefully sub-par action.

Here's hoping I like the next episode a lot more. It's getting obvious by now that Kengo's father is Tachibana (and Shroud 2.0 essentially), and well, hello to you, possible Virgo.

Yukina is just a 2 Ep character, so I wouldn't worry that too much.

And the fights today are all related to the plot. I haven't watched the subs yet, but I'm guessing that Libra found Fourze and Meteor to get them to do a double Limit Break, this makes the Cosmic Energy and create that black hole when Libra teleported and the two crashed together. Thus creating the four blocks, and then Libra had to destroy all 4 blocks I guess, the 2nd one intercepted by Meteor but Leo comes out.

Yukina is just a 2 Ep character, so I wouldn't worry that too much.

I wasn't expecting her to stick around anyway, like most other guest characters, but it's good to know I won't have to see her again after next week.

Indeed, the first Libra fight was relevant to the plot - and then the bit where they try and restrain him from destroying the fourth block before Leo shows up - but they seem so lazily done. The action actually looked a bit of an afterthought. It's spamtastic special effects and CGI galore - best example being Meteor Storm only being here today to plug in his Beyblade toy. :sweat:

But think about it, if you were Meteor and there were 20 dusTARDS surrounding you, and you know Libra's doing **** when you're busy. What's the quickest way to finish them off? Beyblade, saves effort and time. Plus I liked the Screw + Drill drop kick bit. Also Cosmic did have it's screentime with a new combo.

But think about it, if you were Meteor and there were 20 dusTARDS surrounding you, and you know Libra's doing **** when you're busy. What's the quickest way to finish them off? Beyblade, saves effort and time. Plus I liked the Screw + Drill drop kick bit. Also Cosmic did have it's screentime with a new combo.

Contextually, it's logical to just spam your final attack in such a situation, but the fights just weren't very fun to watch today - at least in my opinion. Like Smilodon, I think that more could have been done, rather than resorting to CGI attacks everywhere in the short spaces of time in the episode that we actually had action.

Some stuff I gathered about Foundation X + Black Holes from the subs:

- Gamou is funded by Foundation X, the people were demanding him for a report for his research. Gamou refuses because he hasn't finished the project yet.
- There are two Black Holes in Japan. One on top of Amanogawa, one on top of Kyoto. Underneath the black holes are the points where Cosmic energy are transferred from space (hence why there are Zodiarts in Amanogawa).
- In the old times, the ancient people put 4 power points to suppress the black hole on top of Kyoto. They are the 4 Chinese constellations: Azure Dragon of the East, Black Tortoise of the North, White Tiger of the West, and Vermillion Bird of the South.

- A large amount of concentrated Cosmic Energy has caused the 4 blocks which hold the powers appear. According to this picture below, Libra should have destroyed the Vermillion Bird (Cross), and is now going after the White Tiger (circle). When Libra destroyed the first one, the data of the Black hole on Emoto's computer has changed.

- I'm guessing the 4 ports for the modules in Fourze has got to do with these Energy points.

IMO Libra is trying to let the black hole's powers 'roam free', probably for their next plan or to create more Zodiarts.

- btw I didn't see too much tension between Leo and Libra. Libra was the one acting the mission, Leo was the one assisting and monitoring the progress. Libra was just to proud of himself and didn't like to be watched because he thinks he can do it himself without help.

Exactly, except they're more like arms dealers. They don't care if the orginization they support wants world domination or peace, as long as they get what they want. But unlike Ryubei, Gamou dosen't let them push him around. Since he will give them his report when he's finish. But if this keeps up, they might pull another withdraw.
