People need to watch show and stop hating on meteor.

unless ryuusei is leaving/killed off/ or joining the zodiarts in the next episode, there's going to be some reason why ryuusei did this, maybe he knew something more about the switch than his mentor, so he had no choice or gentaro and ryuusei made an agreement for this happen because gentaro didnt seem surprised about this.

Uh... No. That's not exactly how it's going to happen. Ryuusei will have to eat a lot of crow because of his lastest actions, but he eventually be forgotten not only by Gentaro but also the others. The sooner you start to assimilate that Ryuusei will keep being Meteor and survive the series too after learning his lesson, the better for many of you that have fallen in a stupid "die Ryuusei!" mood, acting like Gentaro has died for real.
I'm not being naive about believing this, in fact I'm being realist and cynical when I say it. I've read loads of books and watched many series to more or less become aware of which are the most probable final outcomes at the end of a story.
Fourze is a series in the "idealistic" side of the scale as the series' true main theme is friendship. Basically, cosmic power is nothing compared to Gentaro's power of friendship. Ryuusei has betrayed and hurt people that trusted him, yes, but given the series we're talking about all points he will be eventually forgotten by everybody in the end because in a series like this friendship beats everything.
And let me leave this clear: I'm not supporting or excusing any of Ryuusei's actions and as I've said he'll have to pass some sort of penitence in the eyes of the others. Yes, I admit I believe most of people deserve second chances when they make a mistake even if it's huge, but not without paying (no death, tough) for it beforehand, and that it's what's going to happen with Ryuusei.

I think the "it's all an act" possibility is still out there, considering that the theme for the arc IS acting, after all.

everyone is judging meteor is bad guy by looking at one episode, this is like ooo when date had to betray eiji/ankh/hina to join the greeds to get goto to become birth and the fans judged him as a bad guy too, not everything is what it seems, this is the same with ryuusei, i think ryuusei knows that aries cant defeated by magnet states and cosmic switch is the only way to defeat him,
i was looking at the subs, he said that gentaro is willing to die for a friend which is ryuusei's friend, which is cosmic switch's power, but he had to make the deal with aries or else he and gentaro will be destroyed, ryuusei had to stop gentaro or else he would have been destroyed by aries because magnet states will not defeat aries.
he had to use a secret technique to temporary kill gentaro for cosmic switch to work and to keep ryuusei alive as well, kengo doesnt know that, but he probably will and ryuusei knows it. he has to pretend he's working for aries, or else he's dead too.

After watching the subs, it's pretty much clear: Hayami hated Sonoda, he REALLY hated Kijima, and now he hates Yamada. He hates any Horoscope other than himself. And since this is the second time a young kid has got one over on him, anyone thinking this could be leading up to something majorly evil on his part? He could then go out of the show in dramatic style
What episode were you watching? Ryuusei states that he joined up with Aries to save Jirou. I don't even think he gives a rat's ass about Cosmic States, because he was willing to forgo anything that Tachibana said just because his mentor's outcome wasn't the fastest way of getting Jirou awake again.
