Very exciting episode!

Nice Otta and Rinna moment.


Go finally admitting that Chase is a friend. And putting a rest to the demons he has carried.
I thought it was a good resolution here.

I felt sad for Heart when he learned about Chase, and later on, when Medic gave her life to heal Shinnosuke..

The part where Gou gave Banno the axe literally was the best. To where he was begging his son not to kill him that the world still needs his genius. For a villain, he was very evil to where anyone can't feel sympathy for him.

I feel like we peaked early on with Mach Type Chaser and the subsequent beatdown on Banno. Especially when Spider, Bat and Cobra showed up. :anime: Medic's death didn't quite have the impact they really wanted IMO. She got overshadowed by the big deal made of Chase. I did like that whole "ultimate lifeform" old-school toku vibe that Sigma has.

The first half of the episode was far better than the second one. I specially like Chase appearing during Gou's Rider Kick, it remind me of Ankh during the final battle in OOO.

I didn't think that I will laugh in an emotional and intense episode like this one, but that one line really cracked me up. It totally stole this episode

Yeah, there's no doubt about it, Gou VS Banno is the best part of this episode, especially the "go for it" line when he literally axed Banno out of the show.

Though I wonder, besides saving Gou, what did the Viral Cores do? Merging with him?




And Medic becomes the second Roidmude to have her Core simply dispersed instead of exploding.
....why didn't they do it for Chase as well ._.

On the other hand, I bet most, if not all person watching the show, did not expect that she healed Shinnosuke of all character as her last act.

I think they just gave him the boost he needed to break Banno's extreme Slowdown. Mach doesn't have one of those belt-mounted shift car holders so I guess Bat, Spider and Cobra just went to whatever hammerspace the shift bikes normally dwell in until needed. :sweat:

Medic's death is so questionably handled that the episode may as well have just ended right after Gou brought the axe down on Banno. Never mind the much stronger first half dissipating the impact of Medic's demise - what about the fact that this character, whose motivations completely revolve around Heart, heals Shinnosuke as her final act, because...? What? If Banno had twiddled around with her programming and negated her ability to heal Roidmudes or something, she may as well go the cliched route of taking a fatal hit for Heart. Going out the way she did was just odd.

 

[Herman the German]

As they put it on TV Tropes, the beatdown he gave far overshadowed the crummyness of the design itself of Chaser Mach.
My favorite part was definitely, "it said to 'go for it,' didn't it?", though.

And holy ****, Shinnosuke should've practiced playing Touhou, it seems. That Sigma beam spam seems even worse than any smack down Roshuo could've laid.
