Kamen Rider Dragon Knight: Interview Final

Five days a week would be WORSE for Dragon Knight. Serials don't work on a five-day-a-week schedule. It's why Lost reruns get such poor ratings.

I think soap operas and Toonami Era programming says different.

Then again... maybe the television climate has changed... but I really do think the show would have greatly benefited from a 5 day a week schedule. A story like this needs a constant flow... no break.

I think its weekly schedule was okay, but the summer break really hurt its momentum.

Serials can do okay on a daily basis if you can catch it every day. I think when I got into Sailor Moon back in the day it's because it was on weekdays at 6:30 AM, so I could always catch it while getting ready for school.

If the audience doesn't like it, it really doesn't matter how hard you try to shove it down kids throats. They saw Dragon Knight and turned off the tv. You'll notice ratings instantly went up when they replaced it with whatever American Anime Card Monster Explorers series for that time slot. Pretending for a moment 4kids had a Mon-Fri kids programming block, why the hell would they air something that makes kids turn the channel 5 days a week?

I think Dragon Knight suffered mainly because of the hyper serialized storyline.

Same sort of thing happened with Operation Overdrive, which when you look at Burg's ratings charts, the first four episodes or so of OO had some of the highest ratings in years, then they just plummeted.

Between these two seasons, I get the feeling that serialized kids shows just don't work.

wow considering the low budjet & time they had to film I Think they did a fantastic job on the series ... Though I thought that anyways when I was watching it ... Its just too bad odds are we will never see any of the other series done again in this fashon :(

Exactly. My opinion is that the show is boring. If I, an adult, found it boring then children will far more so.

Kamen Rider was gripping or exciting and no amount of schedule changes or advertising would have substantially improved that. Im still curious to see the numbers showing that advertising improved the shows ratings.
