Not to start a full length debate but....
-In "Kamen Rider Thrust," Kit and Drew go all the way back to Kit's house JUST so they could hear Maya's message on the answering maching telling Kit that Drew was tricking him.
How is that contrived?
Kit obviously doesn't have a cell-phone, or a computer for that matter.
The two had nothing else to do other than to regroup and consider things before heading out again, giving Drew a chance to lecture Kit more about "screwing up the mission," as well as to show that he wasn't very good at keeping up the charade when he wasn't in control of the situation.
Not to mention Maya could only contact Kit via long distance, as she had only just gotten out of Ventara without any sort of quick transportation.
The "answering machine" set-up is a perfectly understandable device, in this case, and it wasn't the only purpose of the scene either. I honestly don't see what your problem is with it.
-In "Kamen Rider Siren," Kase saves Kit from getting vented by Axe, then fights Kit. Huh?
A-She didn't attack with intention of saving Kit, she attacked the Rider with the weapon (and potentially dangerous Final Vent, at that) in his hand. Namely Axe.
B-Strategy. Obviously the Rider on the ground, already mere seconds from being vented before she walked in, is likely the weaker one of the two. And as she sees the Earth Riders already as below her abilities, decided to take out the one that was likely stronger. She could mop up the weaker Rider, collapsed on the ground and already on the verge of defeat, later.
Honestly, she didn't say anything about helping Kit; she simply appeared, knocked Axe out of the way, yelled "End of the line, imposter!" and proceeded to mop the floor with him. Once he retreated, Siren turned to focus on Dragon Knight. Again, how is that contrived or an example of "horrible writing?"
-Kase just HAPPENED to have ONLY Kit and Len's Survive cards, especially when she has NO reason to keep Dragon Knight's. Huh?
Note how Siren says she ran in, grabbed whatever Survive Cards she could and then ran out before the whole base was blown up. She didn't have a chance to really think and choose which ones she took. And if she couldn't go back to look for rest of them in the wreckage that must have been one heck of an explosion.
Also she kept the cards with no idea that either Dragon Knight or Wing Knight's decks were with users on her side. Considering as how they're labeled as pretty powerful cards, just getting rid of them and letting Xaviax find them for his army (which she assumed ALL the current Riders were a part of) to use would be pretty foolish. It's called keeping away potential avenues of success from your enemy. Also, as we know, only Dragon Knight and Wing Knight have actual Survive suits and footage to use, and considering the low-budget and the marketing, it HAD to be those two; no contrivance here, just simple hand-waving as to why only those two got upgrades and not her.
-Len keeps all the advent decks conveniently in his pockets, and JTC conveniently steals ONLY the Thrust and Sting decks.
This one I can agree with a little, however without seeing the scene myself I can't really judge too harshly on this yet. If only Sting's and Thrust's decks fell out, then I can agree it's a little off; not "horrible, unbareable to watch writing" but a little suspect. If others fell, Strike grabbed what he could and ran off, and just so happened to be ones linking to more Ryuki made material. Simple reworking of story elements, nothing more.
Also how is Len keeping the Advent decks in his pockets "convienent," where else is he supposed to keep them? When Xaviax can simply dispatch a minion from any reflective surface to take them, why wouldn't he stick to keeping them on his person. Not to mention he probably he has some sentimental value regarding them. Likely wanting to keep them out of Xaviax's hands or get vented trying.
Dragon Knight may not have the best writing in the world, but I don't see how these are examples of "contrived writing."
