Kamen Rider Cosplay

What's up, guys! I'm new to the boards and I want to know if I can talk about Kamen Rider cosplay as well as talk about my favorite shows. I'm planning to get a costume from Sushiya or Jon Chen from Custom Workz and they both say that the can get my Kiva costume by July. A friend of mine says that Sushiya takes about a year to complete and I don't have the patience for that. I was wondering if anyone here has had their costume made by Jon or Sushiya had to wait a year or had their costumes done sooner?

My friends and I have order suits from Sushiya before and we are pretty happy with the suits that we get. Only problem is that sometimes Sushiya might delay a bit due to the huge workload that he has. However I would have to say that the prices he quote are some of the cheaper ones around. So Sushiya gives you value for money.

For Jon Chen from Custom Workz wise I am not too sure. I remember that when I ask him for quotation for a suit it was much higher than Sushiya's(Won't go into the details). Otherwise I have not much information about him.

My suggestions check with both of them on the price and date of when the suit will be complete then make a decision from there. Also since Sushiya has made a Kiva suit before you can refer to his website for reference to see if you like the way he made it then decided should you order from him

Hi, I am new here too and I think I have something to share with u guys from my friend's experience with Sushiya. My friend also bought his Agito suit from Sushiya and waited for a year then received the suit. He only wore it once in a cosplay event and the whole helmet was easily damaged into many parts. One side of the eye came off and discovered that it was just soft plastic sheet hot glued only 2 edges inside the helmet. It's so soft that u can simply break it if someone press it too hard without knowing this. The 'Blue light' on Agito's forehead suppose to be an LED but was just a replaced by a glossy shiny bead whereby it also came off on the same day. Both eyes also no lights. The left horn on the head also cracked all the way to the front due to wearing and taking off the helmet. On top of this the hand gaunlet also tear off at the edges. My friend was very pissed off with all these after waiting for A YEAR! Price is cheaper but long waiting time and poor quality. From his experience, I will not dare to order any sushiya's suit although it's cheaper coz I cannot sell it away if I dun want the suit anymore. I am not against Sushiya but just to let everyone know what's happening. Here are some pics taken by my friend and he is intending to demand certain refund from Sushiya for such quality.

There are some of my friends who ordered helmets from sushiya and disappointed with his works too...

And yes.. it took him almost a year just to finish one helmet...

A friend of mine is so frustrated with his Kick hopper helmet... he left it lying somewhere on his garage... he3x

Hi, Revo. U make my day! I feel very sorry for your friend too. We felt deceived. Now the helmet and other parts are in so bad state, my friend is very helpless and dunno where to get his items repair because Sushiya is in thailand and he is in Singapore. Shipping the items to and fro incur extra cost and dunno how long will it takes to complete then send back to him. Lately, we just come across this new shop in Singapore, Custom Workz. Jon Chen is the owner and also the maker for most items in the shop. We talked to him and we also realized his cost for making rider suits is much higher but he said can complete with 2 to 3 months time and also we see his helmet and armour quality is so much better! I suggest those who goes for quality can give it a try with Custom Workz. We went there for 4 times and everytime we saw Jon busy with painting, working on his clients request or teaching his students. These gives us more confidence in his work coz we see it with our own eyes. He is very friendly and always share with others how he make this and how he make that. I wish I have the time to sign up for his courses too. Here is the link for anyone who is interested to see his work.

Jon Chen is amazing!!!

Sadly I could not afford his works...

It seems like I have to make my own costume... well, costumes to be precise, since Me and my son are cosplayers..

Our first costumes are Ichigo & Nigo... but my son's nigo is too small now and I have to make new costumes for us.

My next projects are Glaive & Blade.. I will be Glaive and my son will be Blade. I'm in the middle of making the helmets by using sawdust & wooden glue mixture..

I have put their pics on this thread: http://henshinjustice.net/forums/showthread.php?t=7&page=281

Wish me luck...^^
