Kamen Rider Black.....I've only seen episodes 1-3 thanks to us.....XD. But yeah I do love it. When he falls off "Henshin!" and he glows red, or something like that. That dog as a "cheetah" in episode 2 was hilarious. They made the face glow to cover the fact it's a bloody dog! LOL! This is a set I wanna get the HK of and after that I wanna check out Black RX and laugh at how crap Masked Rider made it. Yes I bought a Masked Rider DVD, watched it and chucked it out the window, onto the road and it was run over by a car. YAY! Big waste of £4 that was! :shakefist

Kamen Rider Black is a very awesome series, especially once Berugenia and Shadowmoon make their appearances. I think the only things I don't really like about it is how Kotaro never seems to win a fight with ease, even though he's supposed to be mucho powerful, and how he wears the same outfit like everyday. :laugh: The episodes with the little kids being heroes were also pretty unbearable. In fact this series featured tons of annoying little kids which seems to be a big ugly flaw in all classic Rider shows.
The kaijin costumes are still some of the best I've ever seen (especially compared to horrible crap like the Alienizer designs) and usually look pretty real in terms of scales, fur, etc. One of my favorite episodes is when that nasty-looking sea monster is attacking people and how real it looks.
Black's music is also really well composed, I'd love to stumble upon a soundtrack somewhere but they're all seemingly out of print.
I think RX was the series they could've done the least amount of damage to, because RX is pretty damn lame on its own.

Its my fave Kamen Rider show. It got repetitive most of the times, even after Shadow Moon had made his appearance in the later half.
I wished Birugenia would stay longer in the series and beat the hell out of Shadow Moon, but, unfortunately I think they didn't see anymore good use of the guy so he's better of dead.
Comparing series' songs/soundtracks, I prefer RX's ones.

Black is one of the greatest Kamen Rider series ever. When you watch it now, you think it's a bit lame(cause it's cheesy considering when it was made), but when you put all that aside, it's just a badass series!
Yeah, same here. But Shadow Moon himself was very badass.

Kamen Rider Black is without a doubt the greatest Tokusatsu Show EVER created. Hands down the best. Nothing can compare. It's just too damn awesome.

'87 was a great year for tokusatsu, but I think Black was the weakest of the year's shows (Maskman and Metalder are superior, in that order).
Here's some random thoughts/responses to other comments:
-Holy crap, look how slim Jiro Okamoto is!
-Birugenia WAS better than Shadow Moon. Moon caught him on an off day.
-Great BGM. I wonder if Columbia released a cheap Animex recently?
-Nice fights.
-Koutarou wearing the same clothes -- classic tokusatsu tradition! They'd still be wearing the same clothes, but they have this trend of wearing ugly uniform jackets now.
-Nothing beats Battle Hopper. Get the hell out of here, Roadsect!
-It would be nice to have shown Kyoko and Kasumi go back to Japan to see Kotaro -- they left only because he was dead! RX doesn't even bother bringing 'em back or even mentioning them!
-The Gorgom Shonen Tai are awesome! The only shonen tai I like. Keep in mind that they were bothced Golgom experiments, and they were really much older than they were supposed to be.
-It might be dated, but I still don't think it's as cheesy as mirror worlds with drawing monsters or the instantly dated moody Faiz. And one day people will look back and say "What the **** were they thinking!?!" when it comes to Hibiki...while Black stays strong!
