I don't think anything special comes from a perfect scan but scans above a certain percentage give you a Rider to look at from the DOLL menu.

The ? mark indicates that either you'll fight Bug or you can take a scan.

All I know is that Deneb seems to restore 300 health...

One of the Yukis lowers health, but can't remember which one.

Deneb gives you +300HP, your opponent +150HP.

I have a few questions regarding the passwords.

One of the passwords that nerefir thankfully posted was "ヤッタゾ". The first question is if the second word/letter is one that needs to be shrunk. The second question is, and I know this is a bit of a silly question, where the third word/letter actually is on the on-screen keypad. The closest I found was the second word/letter in the fourth row, but it's not exactly the same.

To shrink that ッ, type ツ then hit こもじ (small letter). Same goes for the ヤ, ヨ, and ユ. To add a " or ° push those after you type them.

ツ and シ are easy to mix up, as are ソ　and ン, the key is the angle of the " or the '.

Whoops, missed your question there.

Can you tell me how to know when you have good team combines and how to tell what your main is in terms of offense and defense?

I have no idea how to tell if it's a good team or not, I try to match them up plot-wise and usually get "interesting." I imagine it depends on their element, or their fighting ranking thing, or something I haven't considered.

Also, can you play this online against other people?

Looks like you can. From the start screen load your save and then press フリーライドモード then ふたりでバトル.
あいてをまつ = wait for an opponent, あいてをさがす = look for an opponent. I don't know if you can do it over the internet (I don't have an open wifi access point nearby).

It also looks like you can trade cards if you go to カードバインダー then カードこうしん.

タ (ta) is in the first row between サ (sa) and ナ (na).
