Kamen Rider back to the US?

Hmmm... Ok, I'm going to quote that, hope you mind, BorgmanJayce?

Ok I've had enough of this bullshit. You people that want good toku fucked over go someplace else to discuss it. I am locking this thread. Those of us that like things not screwed with will come here. And I also ask that those of you that get off on lame ass Americanizations don't bring it up here anymore.

Ok, that explains why Poweranimals got banned for mentioned Power Rangers from TV-Nihon. Ok, now here's my little rant and wanted to insult against KingRanger.

Fine, then TV-Nihon is full of nazi and pathetic. New titles for the site... "TV-Nazi" LOL! Look at KingRanger! He is a flamer, only enjoys to flame people for all he cares. He is acting like 3 years old, immature and childish. That makes me sick to my stomach! I would call him a new name "Michael Braunstein: Mark II" Why? Because he continues to flame people for all he cares, and I bet he thinks it's funny. Yeah, I bet he does. Plus, I really hate flamers and spammers. I REALLY DO, because I'm getting tired of that crap. "Woooo!! Flaming people is so much fun! I love to spam people so I can pissed them off! YAY!" ugh! KingRanger is official a T-R-O-L-L!!

KingRanger, if you read this. Just let it go and deal with it. If you don't, that's your problem.

Now, I'm all done.

On other hands, I'm glad we finally get another American Tokusatsu next year. We need ANOTHER American Tokusatsu. We had... Masked Rider, VR Troopers, SSSS and Beetleborgs. Now finally, we get to see a new show next year!

So Japan is'nt perfect with their shows either, and to be honest, there so stuck in their ways with what works for them that Sentai's slowly approaching a time where they need to evolve or just die (and PR had to do all the "evolving" for them during In Space and LG).

According to who? Based on what? The only thing Sentai needs to do is stay interesting enough for the current crop of Japanese kids to continue watching the show and consume the stuff Toei puts out. Whether people like you, me, Keith, Shougo or KingRanger like it or not is irrelevant. You not liking the show and holding some oft-undefended opinions about the relative quality of it and PR doesn't mean that it needs to change or 'evolve' in any way. Not now and not ever. When a generation of kids are born that, at 5 years, feel they're too old for Sentai-style superheros, Sentai will be 'approaching a time where they need to evolve of just die.'

EDIT: Bolt's right, so I've cut out the more argumentative parts of this post. I should be more used to your style of posting by now.

Complaiceny rules.:rolleyes2:

Sentai's been set in their ways with the same ideas (forumla works, same ideas do not) so many times now that it's starting to show signs of namesake survival, and of course it will still thrive, the money is there, the audience is there, but an audience does not reflect quality, just an audience.

Did'nt Kamen Rider take a hiatus after RX? Did'nt they wait a while to begin fresh with new ideas and come back with a show that is, now every season, acing Sentai? That helped the product, and since then we have had a gradual rebuilding and repackaging of the series that is taking it beyond Japan and earning new US attempts and new "reboot" movies based on earlier incarnations.

Tell me what Sentai has done for the fans in the last four years? Absolutley nothing. Nothing, in contrast to that kind of marketing monster, and that I feel is just an insult. Sentai needs to make this kind of noise, and it has'nt for a long time.

I AM a Sentai fan, but much like The Simpsons, it's living on dated ideas and predictable excecution. Namesake survival is the saddest kind on television.

Why should that audience abandon Sentai in order for the producers to wake up and realize they've stopped making Timeranger-quality seasons? We can fix the problem with the audience we have right now

Yes, see:

No, I don't see anything, apart from a Japanese magazine article abotu Power Rangers Mystic Force.

Like what? I've heard the same thing said multiple times but people rarely go into detail about exactly what is so annoyingly repetitive (apart from weak, one episode specific things). I'll admit outright that I don't have the most complete knowledge of Sentai so the issues might involve seasons I haven't yet seen. I'm just asking you to be specific.

and of course it will still thrive, the money is there, the audience is there, but an audience does not reflect quality, just an audience.

I'm not saying that it represents quality at all. I just think that statements such as 'evolve or die' need to qualified with something other than personal opinion. Declining audience figures are (to an extent) usually a pretty easy qualifier and Sentai is actually not as widely watched now as it was in 80s but it's been pretty constant for a few years, with Gaoranger averaging the highest.

I really don't think that the new US attempt means anything special in this context and the reboot movie was made to celebrate KR's anniversary weren't they? Sentai has done and will again (apparently) do the same.

What would you count as doing stuff for the fans? Seriously, I'm not sure what angle you're approaching this from. What shows, by your definition, have done stuff for the fans?

First off Red, no. Using "Nazi" for anything just isn't right. Until Kingranger starts mass-murdering PR fans, it's not acceptable.

And for god sake.....STOP MENTIONING F***ING MICHAEL BRAUNSTEIN!! He's never gonna go away if you keep talking about him.

And finally, I'm sorry Red, but you're being hypocritical. You say you hate flamers, yet what do you do with Kingranger, Mikey, Doug Sloan, etc? Yeah, you know it's true.

Okay, can I have my little "rant" now?

I understand and agree that what KingRanger said about Power Rangers, etc, wasn't very clever..

However, at the same time he is doing us a favour, this favour being giving us subbed episodes of Tokusatsu shows such as Kamen Rider Kabuto, Boukenger, etc, and he's doing this all by himself for FREE.

You have a choice either to download TV Nihon's FREE fansubs, or you could buy dodgy HK Bootlegs off EBay which have crap subtitles (EG: "Tendou, do you is fucking?") and you never know you could be supporting a secret terrorist orginization, or you could be a man, learn Japanese and buy Toei's official DVDs and watch them raw. There doesn't seem to be any other fansubbing group that does Toku, most of them just fade away and the rest are all Anime.

So basically, all I'm asking is can we try and lighten up on the insults against KingRanger? I'm not KingRanger's biggest fan either but..

First of all how would you like it if you were like the only person on earth doing fansubs for Tokusatsu, all for free and you're working for like millions of people, who at the same time flame you and bash you all over other message boards?

Secondly, isn't this doing both Power Rangers AND Tokusatsu a little bit of injustice? When someone insults Power Rangers the entire fandom gets back at him. If you ask me, true Power Rangers AND Tokusatsu fans simply chill out, ignore what negative things other people say about their favorite shows, and get on an enjoy what they watch. Aside from that, it would continue this annoying Power Rangers VS Tokusatsu / Japan VS America / snob wars, which were surposed to be finished ages ago with no victor.

You don't really need to join TV Nihon's board if you have a problem with their anti-PowerRanger rules. Why else do we other boards such as Henshin Justice, or Power Rangers dedicated boards (which I reckon would be the best place to talk about Power Rangers).

Peace!!

EDIT: This thread's sure come a long way and I can see why it's so popular.
