Yeah and yet... He gives Faiz a power up out of the kindness of his heart.
Where was that said?
[hide]When Kaixa gave Takumi the belt, the dialogue went:
Tak: "You!"
Kai: "How Pathetic."
Kai: "I guess that's just like you."
Kai: "It's not like I'm saving you. It's more convenient for now that you have the belt."
Tak: "Whatever. I'm grateful anyway."
*Kaixa tosses the watch to Faiz*
Kai: "Use that."
*Faiz goes Axel mode, Kaixa leaves*
Episode 22:
Kusa: "Hey."
Kusa: "You being alive right now..."
Kusa: "I wonder who that's thanks to?"
Kusa: "Well..."
Kusa: "I think I know who."
Kai: "It's more convenient for now that you have the belt."
Kusa: "I'd like you to thank me again."
Kusa: "Properly."
Kusa: "Put some feeling into it."
Kusa: "What's wrong?"
Kusa: "Do it quickly."
Taku: "I'll die before I bow my head to you."
Taku: "But I'll repay my debt."
Taku: "Someday, for sure."
Taku: "That should be plenty."[/hide]
I just re-watched the episodes to get that dialogue and I don't see anything that implies that he did it for that reason; just that it'd be easier if Lucky Clover didn't have the belt, is all. (And, even if he did... it's Kusaka; you really gonna believe him?)
The whole thing of the four supporting characters from both sides getting the flu or whatever perplexes me.
Big-lipped Alligator moment, don't try to understand it.
So I guess they just fought, he got the belt back, the whip guy ran away to regroup [...]. I never thought I'd ever see a villain crying over losing a fight. I guess he can't take the pressure they're all under (win or the boss kills you). Funny how he liked to talk a big game.
Yeah. \:
It's even lamer when you know that Takuma (the guy you mentioned) is played by Agito's Hojo; such a waste of the actor.
