Kamen Rider 555 - Thoughts and Opinions

Are they both the same actor? I actually watched the Shinken Red vs Juuzo fight a while back.

Yeah they're the same actor

If all 3 gears are made so Orphenochs could use it to protect the King, would the Kaixa belt be the only one that burns that much DNA?

They don't give an actual reason why the Kaixa Gear puts a bigger strain on the body than Faiz's or Delta's. It was just a convenient plot point.

On another thought, why do Orphenoch need the gears anyways? They can fight on the same terms with the gear users. :/

The belts would make the Orphnoch even stronger. Which is why every time the bad guys stole one of the belts they would immediately use them.

It's not unlike Kiva's Fangire King becoming Dark Kiva despite being incredibly powerful already.

I think Kaixa was technically the strongest in terms of raw power, like punch strength, kick strength etc, but was slower as opposed to Faiz and Delta. Faiz was the most balanced, and while Delta was fast and powerful, it lacked secondary weapons and just had its sidearm as opposed to the Blaygun, Faiz Edge, Auto Vajin, SideBassha, Faiz Pointer, Faiz Shot etc.

Though that might just be because Faiz is the main rider.

Well in that case, they sure failed to portray that. It just felt 'extra' as like Dark Kiva I guess. They are already there, the form change didn't enhance anything at all. If they said the transformation would slow down the burning of their genetics I would had probably brought it though, but then again it'll just mess up everything else not already messed up in Faiz.

I like the idea that Kaixa has the most strength and raw power, it could explain why it burns much more DNA than other gears. Now that you mention it, Delta didn't had any other secondary weapon huh?

I admit, while 555 is absolutely terribly written (seriously, it's awful. It's a complete mess), I really enjoyed it. It's one of my favourite KR series, in a guilty pleasure sort of way, and I can't really put my finger on why.

That said, I think it could have been much improved if the characters weren't constantly miscommunicating. Learn to ask for clarification! A few simple "... Sorry, could you just elaborate on what you mean by that?" questions here and there and the series could've been over by episode twenty.

As he was a THE STRONGEST RIDER EVER!!1! titleholder, no, he just got by with his camcorder gun.

(Unless you want to count Jet Sliger!)

I'm gonna file Jet Sliger under the vehicle section. Speaking of Jet Sliger, it always reminded me of Cloud's bike in Final Fantasy Advent Children.

I don't think that they actually died, since they were all still human, but instead they were going to die and the SB's president used the Orphnoch cells to save them.

Not everyone hates him. In fact he was my favorite character in the series (and one of my favorites in the whole KR franchise) since he kept things interesting.

I don't think that they were sired. It's like when a vampire snaps someone's neck without reviving him with blood.

Are you sure that you don't like to hate him? I know I do.

It's kinda got the same angle that made me like Kabuto at first, where the main hero is an asshat (though Takumi's actually still kinda likeable) and the supporting characters would make better candidates if the plot said they could use the power.

I was so expecting the guitar dude to die quickly, but then they go and give him character development!

Does the transformer have a name? I never caught wind of it.

And I'm glad that no one in the show likes Smart Lady. GoodNESS she is annoying. What was Urataros thinking?

That's not like it at all. -_- Comparing 555 to Kabuto isn't good.

I also wasn't expecting Kaido to make it so far through the series. When the story explored his past, I knew that he wasn't going anywhere any time soon.

Faiz's Auto Vajin?

-kusaka pictures-

Yep, you sure did.

Mari falls for it every time.

Ok, I'm 15 episodes in. I think I'll stop off there for another day.

Kusaka...HOLY ****. What the **** is his problem?

He explains in his introduction that he wants to be the best. He doesn't like Takumi because Takumi is the one person that he sees as his competition. To make things worse for him, Mari likes Takumi more than Kusaka.

The Gears gave them more power. You can see that the Gears equip the Riders with weapons that can defeat multiple Orphenochs at once.

You maybe thought that the Gears don't give much power because weaker users were not using them well (like the guy who fought Auto Vajin while he was Faiz), strong Orphenochs like Kiba seemed to fight faster without them, and strong Orphenochs were able to defeat the Riders.

That was because inexperienced users who don't fight well do worse with something they aren't accustomed to using and Kiba and other Orphenochs from Lucky Clover had raw strength and they already found a way to use their powers to their highest potential.

Does anybody else think that Mr. J should have just gone home after he only had one life left?

You have a point there. Would had been badass to see a bad guy who can handle the Faiz gear getting his hands on it though, it'll much solidify that the gears do make them much stronger.

Yeah Mr. J should had just gone home instead of throwing his title of "living non-japanese villian who makes a bit of impact on the show." :<
