Nope. The fact that so many characters used the same three belts, including the main one, is one of the things I like the most about 555.

Beside being tanky, Rose Orphenoch probably has one of my favorite monster design ever in Faiz.

That was one of if not the absolute worst things about the show. It means that the main rider is not unique at all. It means there is nothing he has that some one else couldn't have in order to use the belt. I hope that toei NEVER does anything so asinine again.

To me, it made it seem even more special because no matter how many users the belt had, it always returned to Takumi. Even when he himself uses another belt he quickly left it. Just like Keitaro said early in the series "Takumi has to be Faiz".

Also, the fact that the three belts go around allows other parts of the cast to be useful once in a while. In my opinion, others series should do it too once in a while (coughfourzecough).

I sort of like the idea of treating a Rider Belt as technology, a tool that anyone could use if they understood how it worked. I think that could work really well with an ensemble cast show, where characters took turns being the Rider and their personalities affected things like form changes.

The problem with 555 is that while the show played musical belts, it wasn't willing to commit to treating the belts like technology (you still had to be "special" to use a belt) and it didn't really use the belt-swapping to generate story payoff. They just did it as a gimmick.

In my opinion, others series should do it too once in a while (coughfourzecough).

They sorta threw in some "switch-hopping" with Meteor using one of Fourze's switches but, so far, it doesn't seem to be going anywhere any more than IXA using Kiva's fuestles.

The only riders that executed "belt hopping" well was IXA and Birth cause at least it had a purpose of being a "musical belt"

I believe that it reinforced the idea that no one could be Faiz. Faiz had his own style. When someone else used the Gear, it didn't feel like the real Faiz.

I agree, but for me it wasn't much about returning the Gear to Takumi, but it was about Takumi being the one person who truly defined Faiz.

(Does the Fourze Belt have compatibility with everyone? It would be a good idea to define Fourze.)
