Juuden Sentai Kyoryuger - News/Rumors/Pictures

Shunya is the only fairly new character, Yuko and Dantetsu are known since episode 1 or 2.
As someone said Tessai and Ramirez are still transforming and fighting next week too. We gotta wait to see the context before whining.

Fair enough, but did they really do anything? Dantetsu showed up and beat people up for maybe 2 minutes every 10 episodes, and Yuko wasn't even really built up to be a Kyoryu descendant.

And yes, I'm complaining, but based on what I see. That's why I said that the preview may be misleading. But it looks like that part of the final battle consists of them. Maybe they won't be in the last episode, maybe it'll be the originals. I don't know.

Well, let's face it, people's obsession with Haruka Tomatsu is a lot of the reason for Candelira's popularity. The entire romance bullshit with Nossan is basically there as a giant ego-stroke to deluded otaku that think they can get a woman like Tomatsu. And even as monsters people keep gushing about how cute "Lucky" and "Candy" supposedly are and there's tons of fanart of them on Japanese sites. Keeping them alive is nothing more than pandering.

Nossan is not an otaku. He is supposedly an "old man" with a bad sense of humor. His prototype was a dad in his 40's but Sanjo was told to change it. He's supposed to be a character that dads and "elder people" can relate to.

Because the entire decision to redeem them is basically a fanservice thing. It's teaching kids that since they are "cute" and Candelira looks sexy, they can't be evil and don't need to be punished for working with Deboss. This isn't a good message at all.

Massive spoilers for Zyuranger(kinda an obvious one, though, given the topic)
[HIDE]All of the main villains survived the show. All of them, with the exception of the one guy who was already dead anyway(Cai). And let me tell you, Bandora's crew did some really crazy **** that would throw everything Deboss did out of the water. And Bandora herself was one sick bitch. Sure, they were sealed away, but at the end we actually see Bandora softening up to Lamia's baby(even though she hated children) and the whole crew celebrating, hinting that they could turn good despite everything they did. And you know what, I'm kinda fine with that.[/HIDE]

In Kyoryuuger, they were careful to not let Canderila and Luckyuro do anything that is outright malicious and evil. Sure, they are on the villains side, but again, Torin was too and he was a precedent that some Deboss could turn good. I'm fine with killing them off, but really, unless they did something truly malicious, I don't see any reason not to keep them alive(and I don't agree with your "need to be punished to send a good message" argument).

Not exactly; Candy's plot in episode 20 (having people have their wish fulfilled by dying one day after and Lucky's plot in episode 25 (having the Kyoryuger have no sleep because of nightmares) were pretty sadistic and heinous. That said, it's true that, as Deboth, they were merely doing their best for their boss Chaos and they had no genuine reason to care about humans, since they weren't human.
As Nossan said, Lucky basically likes having fun, and Candy likes giving joy; while, as Deboth, they were naturally inclined to use that for evil, both had the potential to be pretty nice fellows (Candy's first plot was basically making people be happy with good cakes and in episode 30, Lucky had more fun playing a game than working to destroy the world).
In fact, the only genuine reason Candy and Lucky were evil was their loyalty to Deboth and Chaos. When both decided to get rid of them, their main reason to do evil stuff was gone. As such, it makes sense for them to survive, since the Kyoryuger have no reason to kill them, as they were not dangerous any more.

No, but let's face it, he's supposed to be seen as an underdog: he's older, poor, he believes he's not as cool and attractive as Ian or Daigo, and he kept complaining that he couldn't get girls. So the show "rewards" him with the sexy idol to keep a certain section of its audience happy.

[HIDE]Yes, I know, I've seen Zyuranger. The difference for me is that they weren't spared for being "cute" or popular with fans or one of them being played by a popular idol[/HIDE]

But, but, does It not open the possibility that Daigo and Yayoi married and there's only one descendant for the two?

There's also no descendant of any of the other auxiliaries ... unless you're suggesting Ian married Yuko and Amy married Shinya or something?

(and bearing in mind this is 100 years later, technically they'd all have multiple descendants by this stage, that's at least 3-4 generations apart)

100 Years After, huh? Looking forward to it! I guess now we know what that image was for. I guess the plot will have something to do with the new villain at the top of the stairs reviving the four seasonal Deboth monsters and the new Kyoryugers having to fight them.

This is the image I'm referring to:

Ehh, sure, the episode did use that trope of the underdog getting the girl. But she became attracted to him not because of his looks or his "charm", but due to his passion, earnestness and good heart while initially, she approached him just because she wants to stuff him in a box. So the way I see it, it's more of a pat in the back moment for him, and well, it did have a good message of being earnest and believing in good in others.

They weren't even doing their best. They were basically winging it most of the time, and in the later episodes they explicitly displayed a lack of motivation.

Well, yeah, he gets to be himself and what does he like about her? She's hot, laughs at his jokes, and that's it. It's an old stereotype and not a very pleasant one

Candelira was a lot sharper than Luckyuro (which, let's face it, isn't difficult) but the lack of motivation thing was just an indication that they were now more interested in Nossan and/or manga than being evil. They were a lot more into it earlier in the show
