Job Hunting...

It can also help to keep up a nice LinkedIn page as a sort of online resume. Some hiring managers prefer to use LinkedIn to paper resumes these days if they're at all tech-savvy. If a potential boss Google stalks you, a LinkedIn page coming up can be a big help for convincing them you're not a weirdo.

I got a really nice job off of my LinkedIn profile last month so I'm all enamored of it now.

As far as websites go I prefer Craigslist and Indeed.com. But thats just me. Everyone else pretty much listed what I've done when job hunting, especially SaikoDragon.

I used indeed.com a lot, too. Put my resume out a lot, but didn't get any hits... Though that was probably just because I was applying for office jobs when all I had was retail experience. In terms of what sorts of job postings it had, it was great.

Getting my first "job" really wasn't that hard. I actually still currently work there. I tutor at a high school Biological Chemistry class, same class I took two years ago, Last year, I asked my teacher if I could work for her since the class is part of it's own "academy" in the school which gets funded by a nearby college and grants my boss wins. It's a pretty chill job, all I have to do is make sure the students are doing their work and sometimes take on the role of the "teacher" when students are doing what they're not supposed to be doing, the good thing about this job too is that I am still currently enrolled at this high school as a senior so I work and learn at the same place/same time. I am also looking for another job though, I recently applied to a starbucks nearby a few weeks ago, and gave them a call today to talk to the store manager who wasn't in so the barista got my name and told me that i'd get a call on monday yet i'm unsure whether to call them back or wait for a call back. I really can only apply to starbucks because I am 17, still in high school which means 8 hour school days, don't have a license so I can't drive, and it's the only nearby place where I can go to work and be on time seeing as how it's pretty much a little less than 5 minutes away from my house. Job hunting is pretty hard when a person is restricted.

b.t.w What I hate about my current job right now is payroll, i've sent in 3 time sheets to them and keep getting bounced back for stupid reasons and what sucks is payday is once every month so today, I got them bounced back again and have to wait all the way to january just to get my 1st paycheck.
