JLUs' cancelation (and lets' admit it folks, thats' where we are presently heading,) is pretty much gathering the same reactions as Batman Beyond and X-Men: Evolutions' cancelations....its' something that is just unheard of, you DONT' do things like this.
With shows like Teen Titans, a show that went five years, one does not care as much, especially since Titans has sucked this season, but JLU, a show that was intentionally going to end last season (hence "Epilouge"), was able to reinvent itself as the Superfreinds cartoon that people had wanted to see for years had it not been for Legendary Super Powers/Galactic Guardians arriving way too late to save the franchise in the 1980s', and make it slightly more credible.
JLU was not only superior to the overrated JL, it developed and expanded on what the JLU meant to the world, made an inspiration out of Superman again as many shows tend to fail in doing, VERY few shows "get" Superman, and Timms' work reflects what happens when a show truly does.
JLU has been screwed over with more than cancelation, with the stupid Bat Embargo, we did'nt even get to see what JLU truly could be capable of with full no holds barred access to whatever ensemble it could take from the unvierse, even as great, as classic, and as enduring as it is, we've only seen TEN PERCENT of what JLU is capable of being, and now we'll never see where it could go.
And why?
All in the name of stinking Japan, all in favour of what is'nt "dated", I heard that they consider Timms' work dated as opposed to their new teams working hard on The Batman
I dont' care what the corporate apologists at TZ say to my face or anyone elses, The Batman only improved for ONE season only, it presently FUCKING SUCKS, EVERYONE KNOWS IT, their writers suck, their character interpretations suck, their MUSIC SUCKS, LISTEN to JLUs' theme, THAT IS HOW YOU SCORE AN ACTION SERIES..
As of this moment, the only good AMERICAN cartoon is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, thats' all we'll have after the show is axed
