I find it odd that they went with giving the storefront a Unicorn theme despite clearly promoting an One Year War theme inside. Also I really want to know what mobile suits those are in the animation on the website, one looks like a modified Z'Gok/Gasshia while the other honestly looks like a Dom with tank base.

It's just that Gundam's been around for much longer and, let's face it, is a lot more iconic over there. No need for sarcasm.

More iconic, but less trendy at the moment. And probably less appealing to foreigners (who make up a lot of the tourist business in Akihabara).
On the other hand, you know, we're not gonna be seeing a giant Naruto statue any time in the future.
