TV productions wether nay-sayers would like to admit it or not are works of Art.
There are writers who write the storylines and brainstorm ideas, there are designers and artists who come up with the concepts to create the costumes etc.
The fact that such philosophical meanings are prominent within the writing just shows you that the writers have at least conducted an ambitious visionary implementation of their ideas.

Good to see you again! I'll be looking forward to this experience on your forum.

Beside, nowadays symbolism get thrown around for the sake of symbolism. Because it looks cool. Its the state of entertainment these days.
No, because if you look at the philosophical symbolism found in W and even the likes of Den-O you would say otherwise.
TV productions (the clever ones) usually target a main audience and then has an 'in group, in-joke' if you will of the more Esoteric and philosophical meanings in their shows.
Most Toku fans have no idea what the writers are cleverly trying to say in the concept of W's dual partners theme for example.
I can write a thesis on the concepts found in W's themes alone.
Though there's a difference between this and automatically thinking any deeper discussion is silly, which is a mindset I see becoming a lot more prevalent lately.
I agree, it's like a reflection of the greater society as whole, where people are literally proud of their ignorance.
You totally missed my point. The people behind these shows do see them as works of art because it's something they spend a lot of time on. A lot goes into the production of these shows and the writers do their best to maintain a certain quality, they respect the shows they work on because they do pour a lot of themselves into them.
Also, a summer blockbuster style of writing would be nothing but action and explosions, various tokusatsu series have gone far beyond that.
Exactly! I think
Dark Kabuto has really proven my point found in my first post.
