Jackie Chan's father passed away

Fang Dao-long, aka Charles Chan, celebrated his 93rd birthday with son Jackie Chan, and grandson Jaycee Chan, on 15 December 2007, Hong Kong. Fang passed away on 25 February 2008 with Jaycee at his bedside. Unfortunately Jackie was working in Beijing at the time of Fang’s death.

The family plan to take Fang’s body back to his home in Australia, where he will be buried with his wife and Jackie will be flying directly to Australia to complete his filial duties.

Jackie’s assistant Ken Lo said that Jackie has completed his filming work in Beijing now, so he will have time to mourn his father and make the funeral arrangements.

That is where Jackie's family lived ever since he was a child. Jackie was left in Hong Kong with the Peking Opera at like 6 years old.

That is very sad news. I hope he and his family are doing okay. RIP Mr. Chan.
