Jackie Chan Talks about Jet Li Collaboration

It looks as though every martial arts fan's dream may finally be coming true, as a film starring the two legends Jackie Chan and Jet Li looks to be a done deal, with the only the script still to be settled. Speaking at a press conference for his new film "Rob-B-Hood", Chan said "We need a script that he approves and I approve. If that goes well, shooting will start in March or April in Shanghai". Perhaps not such good news is the fact that it looks as though the project will be the kind of broad, action comedy fare with which Chan has made his name in the West, as according to the star "It will be more American-style. It will be more suited to foreign audiences than Chinese audiences" and that "If you make a Hollywood movie, of course you have to follow their wishes. They're paying us so much money."
In other Chan news, he confirmed that he is to start filming the third "Rush Hour" film in Paris this September, followed by a trip to Japan to work on a project with director Derek Yee, whose title roughly translates as "Shinjuku Incident". Finally, the actor commented on his drunken antics at a concert in Hong Kong last month, with the wise words "Everyone in the world has made mistakes, but it's just that we're celebrities. TV station managers, magazine editors, who doesn't drink, who doesn't get drunk?"
