Indian Cuisine: Do you dislike?

I've never actually had Indian food. I've had Japanese curry (which I love), that while comes from the same base spice is not the same at all.

But I do love spicy food, like a lot. I usually bring my own bottles of sauces with me when I go out eating.. so I should probably scope out an Indian place and try some stuff. The problem being that around here you actually do have to look for them, they are not just out there in the open -- so it's never at the front of my mind when I'm thinking what to eat.

I hate Curry............whether it's Asian Curry, Indian Curry or Eddy Curry (NBA joke, you need to be a NBA fan to get this), I just don't like the taste of it all.

With that being said, I know most Indian dishes are curry based.......so I most likely will dislike Indian cuisine as well.

And Indian cuisine is TOO SPICY for my taste.........which also explains why I'm turned off by some Mexican cuisine, since there are some Mexican dishes that are TOO HOT TO HANDLE as well.

  Eddy.

Anyways, I haven't had a wide variety of Indian food, but my mom's friend sends us food sometimes and they are freakin bangin. She sends us chicken, and sometimes fish. Yea they're bathed in spices, but it's soooooo good. And when it's crispy? My taste buds have an orgasm.

I never had their curry though.

I love good Indian food.

Bad Indian food is a hideous greasy mess.
THIS. So true it hurts.

Some Indian dishes are meant to be more spicy than others. So if it's meant to be mild, I love it mild. If it's meant to be spicy, you're not doing it right if you're not crying by the end of the meal.

Samosas are the only Indian food that I can't get enough of, despite how spicy some may be. But, Indian food in general, I don't mind eating them sometimes.

I's assume I went too overboard on ranting about this stuff, lol. I'd guess I wouldn't mind giving it another go around and trying out the mild stuff, since I forgot they don't make EVERYTHING spicy. Also, I might want to look into this "chicken tika". Sounds like it can give my taste buds an overdrive in droolage.

Now how about Indian desserts? Never had them, but I saw some images on Google and they look out of this world yummy.

Not exactly a dessert, but after having a good, spicy curry, mango lassi (basically a mango milkshake) is just what the doctor ordered. :)
