I'm having Zero Luck of Being Hired For A Part-Time Job

"Let's DRIVING!!!!!"
I am just been asking myself why I haven't had any luck of getting hired for a part-time job.

I went into Baskins & Robbins and I got turned down because there wasn't any positions opened on the weekends from 10am-3pm, and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays on the afternoon.

My guess is that I have filling out my schedule for the Fall Semester at the last minute and so far I am available to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, I have a communication studies class which ends at 4pm.

I guess that why, I am more focused on getting an education first than getting a part-time job, or maybe it's the environment that I live in.

What do you guys think?

I'm having that problem too, but it's mostly the environment & that I refuse fast food. =O =D

Except, I'd do full-time too, so still no luck. XD

Have you gone to a job agency? I went to one and they help look for a part-time job at the place they assign you to. For me, it was mostly warehouse jobs they have me working at.

Eww. Warehouse jobs blow. Awesome pay, but the conditions and people you work with usually aren't the best to be around. I'd try to stay away from jobs like that. Especially as one of your first jobs, I made the mistake of having a job like that be my first, definitely not the best experience to just be thrown into.

Considering how bad the job market is, unless you supply your availability as "all / full time", most places won't even bring you into an interview. At least that's what I've found. Even then, the exact terms of your work days won't be made clear until the interview. (I once supplied part-time (the only time I got a call back on that) and during the interview was given full time) If you aren't hard pressed for money at the moment, I would suggest just devoting more time to your education. You can always get in a little experience when the job market is in better shape.
