I'm having a problem

My toku obsession is dying...quickly. Usually this happens when I'm tired of something, but here's my problem: I'm NOT tired of Toku. I watched Blade all the way through and loved every damn minute of it. Unfortunately...now I can't get in to anything else. I've tried watching Justirisers, Faiz, Hibiki, I've watched Ryuki and liked it, but there's only four episodes with decent subbing (god I wish I spoke japanese)...I just can't get into anything. It's...frustrating to say the least. Has anyone ever had this problem, and do you know a way around it?

Ewwwwwwww, you mean, like, actually try out a show from pre-2000? Or, worse, like a sentai show that Saban didn't hack-n-slice? Something with substance over flashiness and without subs? Gross!

Hey look! Someone's dripping with sarcasm and acting like an ass! Big surprise!

First of all, I look for stuff that's I can download and stuff where I can watch the whole series. If you can link me to something like that, sure, I'll watch Bioman.

Second of all, yeah, I need subs. I don't speak Japanese, I don't like watching shows where I can't understand the dialogue. It's not that I can't figure it out or that I'm being "too lazy" as I'm sure someone would reply, it's just that if I want to enjoy a series with a good plot, I'd like to enjoy all of its intricacies, not just the basics I can gleam from watching without understanding. Again, if you can find something like that, link me please.

Thirdly, I don't watch anything that has been Saban "hacked-and-slashed" as you put it. (Made in to a different but equally good show is how I'd put it, but hey, whatever. Another biased person on the board is no surprise.) Why? 'Cause it's useless. For example, I grew up watching MMPR. To me, the yellow Zyuranger is a chick. I've tried watching Zyuranger, every time I do, my brain tells me that some guy just turned into a GIRL. That's an issue.

Seriously, what do you want people to say? Tokusatsu isn't trendy anime, subs are a rarity, there's hardly anything before the 2000 shows that's subbed, and if you don't want to fly solo with raws, then you're going to be stuck watching boring ol' Blade reruns and I can see, easily, how you would tire of tokusatsu watching that boring hell on repeat.

Dude, I know how you feel. I'm the same position as you now, just a different cause to this disaster. My Toku obsession is dying because I haven't bought a DVD set in a while, I've watched the Super Sentai The Movie set so many times it's SO fucking boring. So my only chance of sanity is (well WAS) my Faiz set which I stupidly lent to a friend. I plan on picking up Ryuki set cos I am not satisfied with seeing only 5 subbed episodes. I'm enjoying it already. I'm enjoying Blade, seen 1-25 but can't be assed to download the rest cos it takes SO fucking long! Same reason as to why I'm not downloading Deka too. I'm getting some RAW Liveman and Hibiki from anarion but there are too many fucking leechers so it takes AGES!!! Urgh, I NEED MORE TOKU!

Completely agreed here.

Save up money and buy Toku shows. Hell, Buy older stuff without subs. You'll still enjoy it and if you don't then that sucks because there is only so much limited HK Subbed Toku that if you only wanna stick with the subbed stuff you are going to definatley lose out on other amazing shows that most likely will never be subbed and that is a shame. It's fun to talk to fans who have seen more than just Hurricanger and Dekaranger.

Also Remember, Toku never dies in the heart of a True fan.

Yeah, most of my sentai collection's raw eps and it doesn't detract from the viewing pleasure in the least. For me, anyway.

Well there is very limited stuff to download with Tokusatsu man. You may have to shell out cash for new/old stuff if you want to "revive" u'r love Toku.

LoL I had that problem at first until I watched Zyuranger. Now my brain tells me Boi could kick the living **** out of Trini and her testicles in a heartbeat.
