Well, everytime. I'm always asked to buy a DSi I always point out that it's a waste of moolah but everytime I stutter. People always shut me up and look at me like an ignorant idiot. But it turns out I was ignorant. So I did some research about it and now.....It's just not worth it.
1) Let's get it out in the open. If you have the DS lite and it's working perfectly why buy another one? Here is why. Sure it's smaller and more smoother than the DSi but you can't judge a book by it's cover. The promblems that show up is that it's comes with another different batter charger. Ok it's not that bad. but most people overract. The DSi's battery life is a few hours shorter than the lite. I think it's because of it's CPU upgrade.
2) Aww man, if you say the camera. then you obviously never used a really good digital camera in your life. The camera is shitty. Sorry let me rephrase that the "cameras" are shitty. Well the features are to take a photo and make funny faces......Woooooow. that's a gaming revolution. I guess the camera is amazing. The .3MP camera limitation means that you'll never want to see these images anywhere other than on the DSi's low rez screen. Additionally, the program cannot recognize shots you've taken on other digital cameras for editing.
3) The sound thing is cool, I'll give it that.
4) The DSiware. Man, I'm gonna enjoy this. Apperantly Nintendo and other companies are releasing small downloable games to play on the console through Wi-fi....hmm kinda like another Nintendo system I own....I can't put my finger on it....Oh well. And Plus with a small number of decent-Good Wiiware game overall all the great DSiware games are from Nintendo and the good ones are from popular gaming companies like Konami, Square Enix,etc.
5) The Internet. Opera, AGAIN!!?? If you have a Wii and use it for the internet, Nuff Said.
6) The most common used reason but this I really don't give a **** about since I don't use it anyway. The thing about the Gameboy advance slot.
Overall. What the ****? The DSi is basically a portable Wii. I've said that many times. Anyway the reason why you buy a console is to play new games. What I mean is you have a DS lite to play DS game. why would you buy a DSi that can still play DS games that the last one can still play? It's the reason why I never bought the gameboy advace SP or the micro. THe public is easy to manipulate. It's like selling a bed to the consumer. The first and important function is to sleep on it and then they sell the "bed 2" it has a camera, a built in TV and a fridge. But you already bought the first fucking bed so why would buy another one when the one you bought already works perfectly already, just for the same fucking product with tons of added stuff that you don't even need!!!?? Finally. If you are gonna call me stupid, or a retard for passing up a DSi. So I guess I'm a retard for wanting to play my DS with a Longer battery life, GBA capabilites (Which I don't give a **** about) and a cheaper price. And I could use the extra money for something small but worthwile.
