I agree with most everything he says except for the elimination of birth citizenship right. That just seems contradictory to me. To not grant immediate citizenship right to one who is born on the soil; that at least to me, seems a given.

You know, when I first heard of Ron Paul and read up on him, I actually agreed with what you believe. I tried to be as unbiased as possible and looked at it with an open mind but I slowly came to realize that the good doctor was right. As long as there's birthright citizenship, it actually leads to more people breaking the laws. It's something illegals take advantage of and that's when they swarm in here. In the end, legal Americans are the ones who have to pay up for them.

So who is Ron Paul? I keep seeing his signs all over Seattle. I live in a Republican county so I've never seen his signs here.

I don't know about threads that're political........ I've found in the past everytime they come up, you find out that someone you really like ends up like, being for bringing back slavery or who knows what else.

Something that's common sense justice to one ends up being the flip side of the coin to another and things aren't the same.

Look, I think it's about time we stop this illegal aliens are killing our country! We need to redo out immigration laws or we are going to be over run by them. Now I think we should what Canada did when they were getting over run with Chinese people, do away with if you are born here then you are a citizen law right now! I am all for people coming here to better their lives if they do it the right way, and that's the problem they are not doing it the right way. Illegal aliens are a burden on our way of living and they are even more a burden on the people who work hard and pay taxes, and not too mention they are a disgrace to every Mexican person who came to America the right way!

Please understand I've got friends who are Mexican and I respect them because their parents did it the right way, but for ever Mexican who becomes an American citizen the right way there are thousands who are living in America as illegal aliens and it must be stop!

Close down our borders put soldiers or police officers on the borders to stop these people from coming into America illegal. For all those who are here illegal ship them back to Mexico. Now I know this won't happen because there are some greedy people who there who make a killing with having illegal aliens on their payroll, but we must do something before lost everything this country was built on.

While it's true that a lot of people do have children like that basically so they can use them as an anchor, my problem with that idea is "Why now?", if you implement an idea like that now, that's basically giving a free pass to all the millions of people that did that have done that in this country's history, and not just Mexicans, all illegal immigrants, Chinese, German, Russian, Irish, etc. I personally don't think it's fair to say that these people can no longer be citizens just because they were born here and their parents weren't when that's essentially how the country has survived to today.

I'm in no way in support of illegal immigration though, I think legal immigration needs a major overhaul though. People with clean records can spend up to ten years trying to get into this country the right way only to have it lead nowhere.

He's a congressman from Texas who is apparently really popular on the internet and of course is running from president. I've heard him be called the Tila Tequila of the presidential race.

Ron Paul is making good sense.

I think all the illegals the police catch now should be given the chance to become legalized, if they fail the process they'll be shipped back to their country to a special institution for people who have been caught in other countries illegally and they can deal with it from that point.

I remembered my old school had a apparent illegal immigrant working as the janitor. He was a cool guy though, never spoke english but he did a hell of a job cleaning the place. He sorta lived in that little office of his in the basement...

Only, a lot of those countries could really care less. And unless they're refugees, I think everyone is basically shipped back to a border city and left there. In fact Mexico at one point even gave out border crossing packages that came with water bottles, first aid kits and condoms. Not sure if they still do that, but you can tell that the government really doesn't care all too much.

Why now? It's because of how bad it's gotten over the recent years. It's just THAT bad. You also have to factor in the state of our economy... the value of the dollar is going down. We're paying for an unconstitutional war and we're paying for illegals who qualify for social security while immigrants who try to get an american citizenship legally are left in the dust.

Now I don't know by ending birthright citizenship whether people will be stripped of their citizenship if RP gets elected. Maybe there's a cut off line saying from now on, there's no more but for those that got it before, are off the hook. It's something I have to look more into.

And he's only popular on the internet because it's the only place where he can get attention. The mainstream media is definately trying to censor him so the only place to turn is a place where you're free to do what you want... through the web.

I'd also like to add that last month I heard that the governor of New York passed a bill allowing Illegals to get US drivers licenses. How ridiculous is that? I remember there was a lot of outrage over that.
