Ideas for My halloween costume of 2010

yeah, I always do it early. and brain storm ideas and star working on it once I'm sure what I will be.

-my first idea is The Joker. but with longer hair, Straight Jacket, Dark Puple pants and black boots. with a purple jacket and orange hair and a good and scary Joker make up based off "The Dark Knight" movie. face ugly teeth too.

-next idea I had was a Kamen Rider. I'm making a helmet right now. I'm shaping it later. but I don't know which one. I like them all (except for Hibiki, he has my least favorite costume of all hesei)

-other idea was Hakumen from Blazblue.

-my last idea I had is to make a Godzilla costume, I know it will be hard. but skipping the plastic skin and moving mouth and tail. is not that hard. I think I could pull it off if I start next month and get dedicated. but it will be hot as hell inside.

so those are my ideas and I don't know what to choose this year. if I want to win the 3000 dollar price then I will go after Godzilla, if I want to have fun with my girlfriend (she will be Harley) then I will go after the Joker, might win...and last, if I want to show my nerdines and fandom over my Toku passion then I will go after Kamen Rider costume. I don't know what else to do this year

Go for the Kamen Rider, but make it Kamen Rider Decade, then use the Attack Ride Illusion to create another 2 of you so can use 3 costumes the same day.

Ok, seriously now, it depends on what you want this year, I personally think you should go for the goal and make a Godzilla costume, since you were oh so close in the previous years.
But the other 2 sound like great choices too.

My honest opinion? Stay away from the Joker. He is severely over done. Everyone should be disallowed from doing the joker for at least five years.

With that said, Godzilla would be boss. :thumbs:

I was thinking of using cloth to go over the whole costume and use plastic to use the scales and details. without the moving mouth and tail...its kinda easy.

I could win out of this one...I would win

but I would go against my mom, I'm making her "THE EXORCIST" costume, with bed and all. and my dad is getting a priest costume.

at least winning a 1000 bucks in 3rd place would be nice...using 500 to catch up on S.H Figuarts collection.

It's a yearly thing that plagues the cosplay community, some popular movie comes along and everyone does a terrible costume from it. Seriously I've seen maybe only two really good Joker's and three good Rorschachs.

2006 - V from V for Vendetta
2007 - Leonidas from 300
2008 - The Joker from the Dark Knight
2009 - Rorschach from Watchmen
2010 - Prediction: The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland

You weren't bad, it's just that it was overused.
I wasn't really fond of your idea of another Joker, but seeing how you want it only to have fun with your girlfriend, I see no problem.

To be honest you weren't bad but nor were you outstanding. You we're average, which isn't a bad thing at all. And you're just doing it for fun, it doesn't matter if it's good or bad.

But to be fair my definition of outstanding for the Ledger Joker was almost film accurate. Here are a couple examples.

thank you sir. and yes I was doing it for fun. but lets see how it comes out when I try to win...and I did the make up in less than 10 minutes. you can't say I tried hard
