Honestly, reading this made me furious. As bad as Alana’s situation was, I think today’s child influencers have it even worse. At least Honey Boo Boo’s problems were seen by the public, and people tried to step in. Now you have parents putting their kids on YouTube and TikTok all day just to make money, and nobody is protecting them. Some of these parents are even more selfish and greedy than Mama June. They treat their kids like little money machines. They film every part of their lives—crying, getting hurt, being embarrassed—just for views. It is disgusting. At least Alana is trying to build her life back. Many of these young influencers will not even have that chance because their childhoods are being sold online piece by piece. I hope people finally wake up and realize how serious this is. Kids are not content. Kids are not cash. They deserve respect and real care.

I am not sure if this movie will really change people’s minds. Reality TV fans can be very shallow. They love the drama but do not always care about the real people involved. I hope Alana gets the respect she deserves, but I will not be surprised if some people still only see her as Honey Boo Boo.

Children are not meant to be entertainment products, andher story proves that. What happened to her is the result of a system that values money and ratings over human dignity. It makes me angry to think about how many adults failed her, including her own mother. Trust funds are supposed to give child performers a future after the cameras stop rolling, but when parents steal from them, it leaves them with nothing. I hope this movie sparks more conversations about the legal protections needed for young entertainers. Alana deserves a fresh start, and I am proud of her for speaking out. Narrating her own story must have been painful but also healing. I am sure many other people who grew up in unstable homes will see themselves in her journey. Lifetime made the right choice telling this story directly through Alana’s eyes.
