This has always made me wonder, how many series have you seen/tried?
Let's see...
Goranger - Saw the first episode and was highly amused but never bothered to continue.
Bioman - Loved what I saw of this one and it's really the only Sentai right now that I'd really love to continue with eventually but it still didn't hook me enough that I am dying to finish it soon.
Liveman - Saw some random episodes once when I QC'd for a sub group before Sorta got me too busy to keep going. Again, amusing but it didn't hook me.
Zyuranger - I saw the first two or three episodes of this to compare with the first episode of Power Rangers one day when I was bored. Same story: Amusing but not enthralling. Seemed fairly solid though.
Dairanger - Okay, I've never seen a full episode but the theme song is basically one of my favorite tokusatsu songs ever ever and the clips I've seen look pretty freaking awesome. Just haven't gotten around to it though.
Ohranger - Saw the first episode. Eh.
Dekaranger - At first I thought the Law & Order: Sentai was a hilariously amazing angle for a series but I got bored of it after episode 3 and gave up on it.
Magiranger - Some of the designs were alright but I hated the characters and the music made my ears bleed Gyaos-style. So awful. Oh God.
Boukenger - *Yawn*
Gekiranger - I don't know why this show hooked me the way it did! D8 I loooooooooove Gekiranger and I can't help it, man! To be honest, going in I expected it'd be the same old story and I'd get bored of it real fast but, uh, I have a couple Ran figures sitting around my room now... >>
Shinkenger - The idea for this series was amazing but I quit after all the Goddamned toyspam. I know that's all these shows really amount to these days but it was so beyond blatent in Shinkenger that I just wanted to punch Bandai in the face. Repeatedly.
I dunno, man. It always seems to be the same story for me: I try, I lose interest because it doesn't hook me. Lord knows I'm going to keep trying - I'd love to enjoy more Sentai since it is such a long-running series - but... yeah, I can't really explain it. Right now it just seems like Sentai = not for me. We'll see, though.
