I think that's kind of missing the point. It's not that the AUs are necessarily more or less interesting than the original series on their own, but how they twist the original concept. I personally really enjoyed the Ryuki AU, actually, along with many of the other, more dystopian AUs (Kabuto, Amazon) because of how they pervert the concept of the original series. Sure, using the Rider fight as a method of justice is unbelievably silly, but it took the most base concept of Ryuki (a group of riders who fight each other) and twisted it around entirely, taking a secretive ritual and turning it into a public institution. In fact, the most disappointing world of Decade was Den-O, because it wasn't a real AU at all (and I say that as a Den-O fan). I liked the character analysis of Momotaros, but it wasn't really anything we didn't know about him before.

Also, there was plenty of fanservice in the series outside of "just the suits", with Ryuki world being the perfect example. Having Zolda be the public prosecutor was a rather inspired move, and I literally applauded at the "Scissors: 6.7% success ratio" bit.

Yeah. I mean, the first promo of the W & DCD movie after episode 31 was intense. It should have been like that for the movie itself.

You know what was also a big dissapointment?! Why didn't they introduce Dark Decade in the movie like they did in the first promo?

DCD was a shifest. It should have started like this:

*Dai-shocker building shows up*
*Tsukasa appears goes to kill the Riders*
*something fucks up (Kiva attacking him) and he gets blasted into Naomi's world with no memory*

Then Kuuga should be more of a help, like a sidekick like he was meant to be. DiEnd needed more **** explained in his world. As he gets more cards filled, memories return to Tsukasa, but he doesn't want to believe he has to destroy the Riders. He refuses to accept until he gets to the Nega world. He then betrays Kuuga and Naomi and starts destroying the Riders as Dark DCD. Kuuga and DiEnd have to stop him from destroying KR Black. They stop him from destroying Black, and chase him into the Rider War world, where Wataru and the others team up against DCD. A battle ensues and Tsukasa escapes.

All Riders continues from here, with Tsukasa in the Showa worlds killing the Riders. He then meets up with Kuuga again and they fight. Kuuga runs away with help from DiEnd, Kivaara faces Tsukasa and kills him. The trio resurrect Tsukasa, who is good again.

W appears and weakens Shadowmoon and runs off. DCD then fights with the other Riders against Dai-Shocker, who run away.


DCD x W picks up here, with Tsukasa and the others just lounging around. Naomi's grandfather goes to a squid stand, meets with Ryuubee, who then leaves. Narutaki shows up and turns him into Ikadevil while he becomes Zol. They go to gather the rest of what's left of Dai-Shocker and create Super Shocker. They then capture Kivaara and Natsumi to lure DCD into a trap.

While chasing them, W shows up and the they team up after the Dummy Dopant is taken control of by the Neo-life form unleashed by Super Shocker. DiEnd comes up and uses a Skull card to summon Skull before disappearing. Then DCD uses Skull's Maximum Drive and W's Maximum Drive to finish off the life form.

The resulting explosion jerks the Shinigamihakase memory from Eijino while Narutaki curses DCD before disappearing.

Credits role.

Secret scene, Narutaki is being scolded by a mysterious man. It's the Great Leader of the original Shocker. [/hide]

If the Other Decade was ever meant to be anything besides some internal conflict, then it probably was due to the Double crossover.

Movie Wars was originally just a double feature (Double Episode Zero and Decade vs All Riders) rather than a 3 parter with a crossover at the end. They couldn't feature a purely Decade based villain as the final enemy (they even wrote off Decade's supporting cast in a few seconds in order to give more screen time to Double), so they used Doras in order to allow that "fusion" of villains for the final battle when they decided to go with the 3 parts format.

No, he does NOT have the same job. He has the EXACT OPPOSITE job. In Ryuki, he was a defense attorney. In Decade, he's a public prosecutor. That's the joke. I didn't think it was THAT subtle.

DCD Final Chapter was a letdown for me after the small yet awesome preview at the end of EP 31.

You get to see them in the Director's Cut version. Though that bit is just as long as what you see in the preview :sweat:
