Probably the fact that they were all younger and more "on their own" than either of those families.
The Hoshikawas were on their own for 20 years with only an apron-donning robot to raise them. (Remi and Fumiya were only babies when they were separated, with no actual memories of their parents.) The Tatsumis were left behind by their father who was frantic to prepare against the Saima invasion, leaving only their mother to take care of them and resentment toward Mondo. I don't see how the Ozus' situation was any more dire. At least with Magi and GoGoV the siblings had at least one parent there. In Fiveman both of them are gone, presumed dead until Gunther reveals otherwise.
