To put it more simply, you are complaining because the admins didn't do something you never asked them to do in the first place.

I came to ask more of then Complain.

Complaints do not require insults or foul language in order to be a complaint. And your original post, while directed at the entirely wrong people:

I understand that you wanted to help rider_Proxy out, Dem. But the appropriate approach would have been to not point at the other middlemen, and just say:

"You know what, I think rider_Proxy and her thread has earned a spot as a sticky, wouldn't you all say?"

To bring in EX and Oki, it seems you're getting defensive over them having sticky threads and r_P doesn't.

And that's why I think others are saying you're whining, Dem.

But don't get mad. I'm just saying what I think everyone else is "getting at".

Anyways, glad r_P has a home base here on HJU now.

You only did good in that you brought this issue to the attention of the staff. However, in the original post of this thread, you speak as if riderProxy is being deliberately ignored and that EX and Oki are being given preferential treatment over her when it is obvious that that is not, nor was it ever, true. Even if it was not your original intention to do so, and even if in YOUR opinion it doesn't sound like it, that post comes off sounding a LOT like complaining. Your intentions were good/Your heart was in the right place, we're just saying that the way that you did it could have been better.

No, a LOT of what was said here WAS relevant and a LOT of what was said here needs to be taken to heart. The next time you want to help someone in this way, make your post have a more POSITIVE vibe and promote all the GOOD aspects/good reasons. Promoting the GOOD makes it more likely that people will AGREE with you and that they will WANT to help you. You can put on a front/put on a tough face and say "Well in the end they did what I suggested so it doesn't matter what else happened" but you know that it DOES matter. At the very least it would have saved us all from all the grief that has ended up being created here in this thread. Life in general is better when the relationships you have with the people around you are smooth compared to when you're getting into arguments with them every other day.


Like you said though, the thread has been approved to be stickied, so this thread might as well be locked.
