See now were counting forms and not whole Riders. Why would the Rider be stuck in that one form?

Well, something like Plat Form or Kuuga's Growing Form actually have a purpose. Plat Form happened when Ryotaro tried to be a Rider without having one of the Imagins help him out. So it's basically what Den-O would be without the Taros. Growing Form was what happened when Godai used Pegasus Form for too long, if I recall correctly. After that he couldn't transform again for several hours.

I'll admit, the only scene to freak me out in Kiva was first seeing Saga hang a fangire. When he kept doing it, I didn't care but, not expecting it the first time left me a lil'..:confused2

I remember thinking it would have been cool if Toei filmed the '80s portion in the style of their '80s tokus, namely Black. I think it would have been a funny little comparison between Showa and Heisei styles. Have Otoya be a stand-up guy like Koutarou, in comparison to Wataru who was the typically "soft" Heisei lead. But Toei wasn't concerned with even making the '80s portion believably '80s -- yellow phones, playing a pop song here and there, and showing the dog as a puppy was supposed to be enough.

I thought Growing Form is what Kuuga transformed into the first time he uses the Arkull Belt? It sort of represented Kuuga at its lowest level of power, when Godai was fighting reflexively. Then he goes from Growing From to Mighty Form when he consciously decides to begin fighting for something in the second arc.

Yeah Growing Form was Kuuga's initial form before he could access Mighty. After that, I think he only reverted to in it in cases where he took too much damage or used Pegasus too long. But even in Growing form, Godai managed to kick ass and even scored a kill once, though he had to kick the Grongi like five times or something.

As far at Plat goes i guess it could have killed an imagin since I belive it had access at least to the Den-gasher Sword mode, but then you know without the Imagin, Ryoutaro was pretty much useless in the show.

Takaiwa did some awesome suit acting in Plat Form, though. You could really believe Ryotaro was in the suit himself.

I love it when the suit actor is so good that I forget it's a suit actor.

It's like SFX guys. The better they are, the less you notice them...

Agreed. I loved how he would always run around with this really stiff posture, and with his hands always slightly flailing. I always imagined Ryoutaro being in the suit thinking, please don't hit me, please don't hit me. Seiji simply is the man.

Found the Kamen Rider Kiva episode with the payphone transition. It's the 5th one. The main object of transition is not the payphone itself but the posters for a concert by the band "Chackers."
