It really shouldn't make it that much slower. Probably a couple seconds longer to do things, but that should really be about all it'd be effected.

yeah, I've got two externals (about to add a third), usb mouse + keyboard, my phone and zune cords all plugged into a usb hub and never noticed any problems. *shrug*

Glad your transfer went well, the first time I did it and attempted to copy everything at once it corrupted random episodes and pictures. Had to go through and check eeeeverything and replace what was broken. Now I do it gradually, like what was suggested before.. folder by folder, or series by series.

Big transfer should be complete by the time I get home.

600gigs already used lol.

I did a portion during the day, and then the rest later on in the night and it's still goin'.

I'll def. have to test random episodes to make sure everything went well.

The usb hub did take longer. So what I did was I did the left click and then unplugged the hub, then quickly plugged the drive in, loaded, and then just scrolled with the arrow keys. Much faster.

I've found some Seagate 1TB hard drives online ranging from $69 to $99. The one I saw in Wal-Mart was $98 IIRC. I got a 500gb for $60. I should have just ponied up the extra $30 and got double the space. :shakefist
