We ate and watched SHAUN OF THE DEAD in HD with alot of beer and my entire family loved the movie. My Dad especially since he is a big Dawn of the Dead fan.

I'm heading over to the parents' place for Thanksgiving tonight. Absolutely LOVE my mom's cooking (seriously, who doesn't love their mom's cooking?), but I can't STAND the fact that my dad always, and I mean ALWAYS, gets the turkey smoked. Firstly, it makes the bird taste like ham. If I wanted to eat ham, I'd go buy a fuckin' ham. Turkey is a bird, not a pig. Secondly, even though the place he takes it to always does a "hot smoke" on it, the sheer size of the bird makes it questionable whether or not it's been heated enough to kill any potential bugs like salmonella. It's a good thing he loves it smoked, because there's always 4-5 days worth of leftovers (as in, 2/3 of the bird is still untouched) at the end of the day for him. Whenever I or my mom do it up in the oven (i.e. traditionally roasted), the leftovers only last a day or two.
