I got a little get together later tonight... I didn't have a lot of time to prepare so my costume is just gonna be 'generic private detective'.

okay um.....australia just finished celebrating halloween....um....i think im scarred...for the rest of my life LOL

i was walking to the arcade at.....9-10pm with my friends and i saw this....guy....wearing..tight leather pants and leather shirt...with his chest binded....with chains...and wearing black angel wings..i think i squealed aswell LOL

can people tell me how halloween is in america? i've always wanted to hear about it......? >w< the only things that happen in australia for halloween is that businesses try use the holiday to spend peoples money like holding halloween parties or events in areas in the city or.....hold movie horror marathon in the bar area (honestly i wanted to go but i missed out, my brother went and told me it was hella awesome)

anyway and he also told me that they had this thing called the ZOMBIE FREEZE, which is when people who actually dressed as zombies or in horror costumes and froze in the middle of the cities busiest traffic crossing..omg it looks so retarded from the photos he showed me XD

Historically, Halloween in America is met with mixed reactions. Seeing how most of the country is of conservative Christian background, there's a lot of outcry against the "Pagan" and "Satanist" themes (the zombies, witches, ghouls and other spooky stuff), and sometimes a removal of Halloween activity altogether in certain communities, hosting Autumnal church ceremonies and "harvest pageants" in its stead (ick). Traditionally, however, a Halloween evening consists of younger (though some never outgrow it, like me) kids in costume going trick-or-treating for candy, with parties and local events for older folks. Seems like recently there's been dwindling interest in Halloween, which is unfortunate. It's one of the funnest, most unassuming "holidays" we have left.
