[Anime] Gundam Build Fighters

Okay so I have realllllly been unwilling to watch Build Fighters because it really strays away from everything that made me like Gundam in the first place. Butttt I see that People are digging this show more than I thought anyone would. I only watched the first episode and needless to say, I was unimpressed. So my question is: Is it worth watching more of?

I wasn't completely hook by the first episode either, but I would suggest to check out the second half of ep2

Keith found it a hard sale too but he ended up getting caught up in the span of two days after he started it. I do suggest giving it the three episode rule at least.

Sorry for double posting but:

Seems they're starting to do a side story with Takeshi in these hobby mags:

Closer look at the customized Hazel:

Any idea what customization Takeshi has on the RX-78-2? Surely it isn't vanilla because he's talking to Reiji about customization.

I got interested from just episode 1 but, it wasn't until seeing Kirara's defeat that I really got hooked to the show.

Speaking of, I just spent the past couple of days catching up (from 7-15 (about to watch 16 now)) and.. the show's still pretty darn good but, I'm kinda worried about the Aila storyline; I'd be disappointed if it ends with a "Waah, the big bad company is making me fight! ;_;" kind of ending.

It's not that their necessarily "making" her fight. The flashbacks imply that, in Finland, Aila was an orphan and that the only reason she's participating in the tournament and in Gunpla battles is because Team Nemesis gives her food and board.

So far at least, it doesn't seem like they're forcing her to stay, but they're giving her plenty of reasons not to leave.

I think Aila is growing to the point where she actually will enjoy battling because it's fun and not because it's a means of survival.

That's true and (finally) watching ep16 did help alleviate some of my worries (Aila co-battling against the Zeong felt really natural).

That said, I did not see that Cutie Honey reference coming from Sei's dad; as soon as he said "Sometimes he's the owner of a back-alley model store.", I was like "..He's not gonna... oh god, he is! This is great!"
