Universal Century 0081. The One Year War, which had claimed so many lives for both the Federation and Zeon, had been over for sometime. Peace seemed to reign on the surface, but the truth was that things were more fragile then they appeared. There were still those dedicated to the Zeon cause and they did not want to back down, going into hiding and taking up seemingly normal jobs so that they could wait for their perfect time to strike. On of these teams, known as the Invisible Knights, were located on the outskirts of a city on the northwestern coast of North America. They ran a junkyard there, which seemed innocent and harmless, just like they wanted.

However, there was something going on in the city itself. Something very odd. There were riots going in the city, and not just any riots. These riots were done by those who wanted spacenoid independence, which was unheard of in a city that was inhabited by a majority of of earthborn citizens. It also sounded a lot like Zeon rhetoric, which was even more disturbing to the Federation forces in the area. They were trying to disperse them in nonviolent ways at first, but the crowds did seem pretty riled up, as if they wanted to heat things up even more. As for the commander of the Invisible Knights himself, Nathan Roa, he was listening to the news reports with a grim face. This isn't good...well, it is good that there is support for us all of a sudden, but the feddies may start searching around for actual Zeon insurgents if this keeps up...we better not be here when that happens.... Nathan was able to keep his group hidden for this long and he did not intend to be discovered now. Going over to the intercom he set up, he pressed a button and spoke. "Everyone, come into my office...we have matters to discuss..."

A few minutes after he made this announcement, the first one to appear in his office was Saya, who was always prompt when issued orders and stood at the ready, not saying anything. She had a feeling that this was a big announcement and didn't want to seem like a rookie for wanting to question what it was right away...

(OOC: Rolling Start-o! For now, the Invisible Knights pilots are supposed to go to Nathan. As for the Phantom Sweepers, they are at the nearby Federation base, so you can do whatever except leave the base for now...)

Maya Ronolds was sitting in the darkness of her room, only the light coming from her small TV was illuminating it. It was obvious from her room that Maya was quite a messy person, bed sheets tossed carelessly to the floor, random pieces of clothing thrown all over the place, bits, pieces, nuts, and bolts A cigarette in her hand, she watched the news reports. Tch, figures. They want everyone to think that the fighting is over...that just because Zeon is gone that they can rest easy..yeah my ass can rest easy[/] She thinks.

At the Federation base, A fragile-looking young woman with long, black hair sat by, watching the news on Television. The young woman, named Faye Marquise, maintained a slightly saddened frown as she observed the reports on rioters demanding Spacenoid independence. I can understand if these people are dissatisfied...but....hate only begets hate....I hope these people can just lay down their arms and focus on rebuilding. More Fighting can only get us nowhere... she sighed, keeping her eyes glued to the television.

As Faye continued to observe the images on the television, a large wave of sound would suddenly interfere with her tv watching. The thunderous sound of electric guitar being emitted from what was obviously one hell of a sound system that almost shook the whole base, the sounds of a couple firecrackers being fired off from time to time, there was only one possibility as to who was behind this. And the person came skidding down the halls air guitaring as he sung along with the lyrics.

"Living easy, living free. Season ticket on a one-way ride! Asking nothing, leave me be! Taking everything in my stride! Don't need reason, don't need rhyme! Ain't nothing I would rather do! Going down, party time! My friends are gonna be there too!" the Phantom Sweeper's infamous pilot Jason Geyse sung, or shouted as he was trying to emulate the vocal stylings of legendary AC/DC lead singer Bon Scott.

"I'M ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he continued to sing as he wildly air guitared to the music.

"You need to lay off that depressing stuff, you know that?" he shouted to Faye as the music continued to blast.

The Federation station was just recently built over in this city. It’s only been about 6 months since the installation opened and federation began using the area to conduct training and MS operations training in the nearby deserts of northwestern United States. The city was loud and lively as usual, but the base was usually productive but quiet in comparison. Returning from the city was Riku, exiting his jeep he carried in a grocery bag into his assigned outpost. The Phantom had their own little building, a single story two floor place, only about the size of a big town house. Here it housed the crew quarters and a small officer for the soldiers to do their work.

Approaching the building he could hear the super loud rock music which could only amount to Jason up to his usual air guitar action. A small sigh came out from Riku’s exhale and then he smiled entering the building. Inside greeting him was Jason and Faye, Faye usually keeping to herself and was watching the television, trying to listen to the news. Meanwhile Jason isn’t able to sense Riku’s presence due to the loud music and Faye didn’t seem to notice him entering either. Riku went on over to the room with the sound system and turned down the volume by enough so that people would be able to hear again, plugging in a head phone Riku came out and greeting the two teammate in the room. Handing the head phone over to Jason he smiled to the two.

“Hey guys. We have a test mission today, it’s our team against the swans from across the installation, they want to test the SCOUT unit’s range with the communication unit so, be ready in about 40 minutes ok?” With him finishing the sentence the door opened and a loud yell was thrown in it was from the officer in charge of the swans “HEY after the test let’s have a paint battle, prepare to lose Phantoms” He said as Riku returned a smile and waved. “Anyways we have about 40 minutes; the suit’s and trailer should be ready so just get your gear and board the truck when I arrives here. But before we do any of that just relax alittle ok Im counting on you two” Riku said as he reached into his bag and pulled out a paper bag with a magazine inside, he handed it to Jason “This is the latest issue” he said as then he approached Faye whom concentration was still on the news. He placed his hand on her head and pets her just to get her attention. “hey I just came back from the city I bought these for you” He handed to her on her lap a box with cake inside, Inside on the cake was written in frosting “Aishiteru!” with a big strawberry cut in a shape of a heart. A usual joke that Riku has written in for Faye and then he handed her a warm bottle of rose tea. “Have them together, it’s your favorite right?” he said with a smile and then he got up to look for the last member of the phantom Hikari, usually she would be with the Mobile suits at this time. Placing all the other groceries into the refrigerator and grabbing tea for himself. Riku reminded the others“You two be ready ok? Till then enjoy I have a little paper work to do before we go so don’t play your music too loud.” With that said Riku sat on the computer terminal adjacent to Faye login in to start his work.

While continuing to watch the news, Loud music began to engulf the room, followed by a discordant wailing that followed it. Naturally, she knew what this meant: Jason Geyse was "rocking out" again. This caused her to sigh. How carefree... She thought, giving up on attempting to understand the news due to the loud, raucous track filling the room. Keeping her eyes glued on the TV as she chose to just focus on the images, she then began to notice that the Music was turned down, thus allowing her to focus on the news once more. Unbeknownst to her, the music being turned down occurred when Riku entered the room to announce a test mission, which she heard loud and clear despite her eyes being focused on the Television. Not long after that, she felt someone pat her head, prompting her to look up and Notice Riku place a Box of cake on her lap. Looking down at the cake, she saw the word "Aishiteru" written in icing, as well as a strawberry cut up into the shape of a heart. This caused her to blush faintly. "...Thank you," she told Riku in a soft voice, accepting the warm bottle of rose tea as well. She then left her seat in front of the Television, taking the cake and the bottle of rose tea over to the refrigerator to be chilled. I will consume these later, Captain. Right now, there is work to be done... she told herself inwardly while walking to the fridge.

"What did they expect, everyone to just be happy and give up now that the war's over? That isn't the way it works..never has."

As the story aired, Andy Rozier was just lurking in the break room, hands folded behind his head and leaning back in a chair, watching the TV there with some interest. He was just shy of six feet tall, with black hair that tended toward being messy, dark eyes that came off as inquisitive, and a five o'clock shadow, even thought it was only midday. One of his quirks was that he tended to have a cigarette in his mouth while he was thinking, though if it wasn't lit half of the time. Even his brothers weren't sure where he'd picked that habit up, but it had become a sign to those who knew him well enough that the gears in his head were turning.

"The Federation is just going to crack down hard on them..at least that's what I'd do in their situation. How would I take advantage of this?"

"Everyone, come into my office..we have matters to discuss."

"Coincidence? Probably not.. Let's see just how capable this guy is.."

He stands and stretches, sliding a black leather jacket over his usual apparel - work boots, a pair of jeans, and today a dark zippered shirt. He makes his way toward Nathan Roa's office, checking his watch idly. He'd never heard of the man before a couple of months ago, because there were a lot of people in the military and he'd been too occupied to keep up with the exploits of people half a world away. Still, the research he'd done on him had come up clean enough..

He makes it to the office before too long, and opens the door then slips inside. The cigarette has made it's way out of his lips and into a pocket before he enters, and he inclines his head in greeting to the pair already standing there.

"Chief. Saya."

He wasn't quite sure what to think of her yet..an idol turned pilot, hm? He admired the dedication it took to learn how to operate one of the mechanical giants, as he himself had. Still, she was pleasant enough to be around..and properly serious when she had to be. Given her silence she didn't know what the Chief had in mind, either. I wonder what he's got up his sleeve? He gives Saya a brief smile - about as much as anyone ever gets from him - and moves off to the side to lean up against the wall. No use standing too close to the door with the other two still to arrive..

Remy was sitting in front of the workshop where usually the sales of the junk yard goes thru listening to the radio. Until an Old trucker came up to him with a part and talked to him about buying it. A loud fist slamming on a metal table could be heard from afar in front of the junk yard. "HEY! YOU TRYING TO RIP ME OFF OLD MAN??!" Remy yelled at a big old trucker whom came to purchase a missing part for his truck. Apparently his haggling skills was too much for Remy. The truck part here even if used and slightly damaged is still worth a pretty penny, but this old trucker seems to think that it's okay to pay less. "Look kid it's not worth that much" the trucker said flexing his big arms showing off his physical might to Remy. Once again Remy slams his fist and is now unzipping the top of his coverall down to show the trucker that he was no joke and full of physical might himself. the two flex their muscles to show off to each other, the display if seen could be said to be most retarded.

But before the two could continue with the fight for the payment of the part. Remy hears Nathan's announcement. This momentary calm Remy down, dutiful to Nathan; Remy wasn't going to waste anytime. "Alright old man pay a little more and it's yours" the trucker too took a calm stance about it and paid for the part. Recognizing Remy somehow he paid almost the full price leaving out only a couple of dollars. Remy smiled this money means that him and his friends in the knights could have dinner tonight and not starve. He tied his cover all arms to his waist and put on a T shirt, a small cloth he used to wipe all the dirt and sweat from his face and body as he approached the door of Nathan's office. With a sudden kick he opened the door loudly; " CHIEF I could of gotten more money out of that old bag what do you want now!?" Remy said as he started stomping towards Nathan at his desk. Nathan knew right away on how to deal with Remy and threw a Flask at him. " Calm down " Casey" you'll find out when everyone is here".

Remy Caught the flask easily and he immediately took a sip of the alcohol, " Casey? your not even close Chief, that's not my name" Remy said as he placed the cash he just gotten for the sales on to the table. " Since you got it wrong you leave me out of cooking dinner tonight" Remy said as he took a couple of steps back. " your a lousy cook anyways Remy" Nathan said smiling. Remy kept on walking towards Saya and Andrew then he turned and just sat right down on the floor with the flask. " What is that suppose to mean? Cheif" He chuckled " So what sup? everyone" seeing that Maya hasn't arrived he looked and said "Nevermind, someone is always late"

Maya was quite surprised at how well they everyone was able to keep the base up and running, with nothing other then junk parts Maya might have been good, but not even she was a miracle worker. When she arrived, she sees another one of her 'team mates' arrived, a young man that went by the name of Andy. Maya wasn't exactly anti-social...but she learned a long time ago that war was messy business, friends today could be enemies tomorrow it wasn't wise to forge friendships in the battlefield. She made it clear to most of the people here that she wasn't out to make friends with anyone. Silently, she walks over towards her usual seat, and sits by her lonesome.

Nathan looked over everyone that had gathered finally and nodded, going straight to why he had gathered everyone here. "Now...as everyone knows, there have been pro-spacenoid riots in the city for the past few days...this is of course good for our cause...but...it could also be potentially dangerous for us as well." He then looked out the window of his office, which looked out to the junkyard and could also see the city, some distance away. "There is a federation base nearby, and they will react if the riots do get out of hand..which they are liable too, since they have only increased in intensity." Facing his team again, he then got to the part he knew they wouldn't like.

"For that reason...we are going to dismantle out operations here and set up elsewhere...we are not ready to deal with the Feddies in this area, so it's best to go somewhere else and regain our strength. So, I want everyone, save Saya, to start getting things ready to leave...as for our MS...we'll go with out contingency plan and hide them on the trailers, making sure they are covered...we can say they are junk of course, if we are stopped..." He then turned to Saya. "As for you, Saya...I'd like you to go get Mitsuki...she's still in the city and I...would rather not leave my daughter behind..." Saya seemed a little surprised by this, but didn't waste anytime in saluting. "Understood, sir. I'll go get Mitsuki right away." With that, Saya left, leaving Nathan with the others.

"If there are no questions, I'd like everyone to get on their tasks right away." He told them, expecting them to get to it, but also stood by in case any of them wanted to ask something of him.

(OOC: Since Magi is out, I'll post as her char to start her off...)

Meanwhile, back at the federation base, a light brown haired woman was in the mobile suit hangar of the base, checking the cockpit of one of the mechs itself to make sure that there were not any problems that would pop up for the pilot of it. Even though she loathed fighting, she still wanted to make sure and do her part, wanting to make sure that the machines that her comrades piloted were in top condition. At the moment, there seemed to be nothing wrong, so the woman, Hikari Mishou, paused a moment to wipe the sweat off her brow. Nothing out of the ordinary so far...still...I have to keep an eye out.. Not one to stay idle in her work, she started to look over the things she hadn't checked yet.
