Only in Gundam history there was a 3rd upgrade of Gundams for the main protagonists. Gundam W only had 3 out of 5.

Dude he's not dead. Tieria Erde (that's how you spell his name) directly linked his mind with Veda and separated from his physical body. He's still alive, only he's now a part of Veda and doesn't have a physical body.
