So. Who all has been fired before?

Just wondering what you all did to "celebrate"? This was only my second job and I left the first one... so I dunno.

10 minutes late because, get this, I got pulled over and got a ticket. So late= Fired and I have to go to court.

I think I need myself a drink for starters...

It was Retail, so no big loss. But on the upside my friend might be able to get me a cushy phone job. We'll see how that works out.

I got fired from my last telephone survey job (NEVER AGAIN!!!) because they considered the way I was trying to persuade a guy to do it was insulting.

Well, it looks like my department manager took the 40 min drive to come in on her day off and well, basically chew out the "senior" store manager. (My manager has been with the company 20+ years, the store manager only 3).

So I got woken from my drunken slumber to ".. you're late again". lol. Well seems things worked out; I'm just on a 60 day probation. And that cake idea sounded too good, I stopped by Dairy Queen on my way home and got an ice cream cake. :thumbs:

I actually work in the fulfillment department of a call center. The call center folks don't have it easy with not only people yelling and complaining and generally being idiots, but their supervisors can nitpick the hell out of everything. I hope you do well with it.

I usually try to show up to work at least a half hour early if I can. That way, if for some reason I am late (like the train derailing or stalling like it did a couple of times last year) then I am given a bit of a pass. I never want anyone to be able to accuse me of CPT.

During every job I've ever gotten payed for, I'd do things that should have, by all means of logic, gotten me fired (pulling pranks on bosses who disrespected me, etc), but didn't.

However, I used to spend time as a councilor at a kid's Day Camp when I was 13. I didn't get along with the other councilors too well, but I was a hit with the kids. I would play Yu-Gi-Oh! with them, talk about Power Rangers, and even defend them from the other councilors. One of those councilors was a really nasty one, who was something of a control freak who wanted the kids to listen to her. She would try that time-to-time on my group of kids, and I would tell her to buzz off. Anyway, one day I was called in to the main councilor's office, and was told that I was being let go. I asked why, and she told me that that the control freak said that I said to a kid, "Bite me, wuss!" My parents came and picked me up, and because I was still just 13, they naturally wouldn't have believed me, so I just stayed quiet, took their crap, and felt sorry for the kids.
