Goseiger Vs Shinkenger

Weren't they a bit tribe driving those days...like.. the change they would appear together at the same time like that unlikely?

Yes and no. This is a really interesting question.

If you watch the time-travel episode in Goseiger's third arc, this actually appears to be the case. The characters all act like they can't stand being in the same shot together. But in Goseiger's actual first episode, the tribal conflict between the Goseigers amounts to some petty bickering. The characters have no problems transforming together.

If you watch the Gokaiger appearance in Goseiger vs. Shinkenger, you'll notice that the team is completely in-character. Don, Ahim, and Captain Marvelous all clearly have their most pronounced character tics. Joe and Luka are less pronounced but their suit acting "feels right."

If you go back to the Goseiger appearance in Shinkenger vs. Go-Onger, you'll find the Goseiger characters are not handled half so well. The poses, voices, and sound effects are right, but the suit acting for everyone besides Alata just isn't there yet. Eri just doesn't fight like Eri yet. The others all do very generic things.

I strongly suspect that the way the Goseigers appear in Shinkenger vs. Go-Onger can be chalked up to the producers of that crossover simply not knowing much about the characters. The Goseiger team may well have still been deep in rewrites and still not sure what Alata's supporting cast would be like.

There's a growing pile of evidence that suggests Goseiger's production was wracked by behind-the-scenes fighting all through the production of the first couple of story arcs. At the time the Goseiger appearance was filmed for Shinkenger vs. Go-Onger, it's entirely possible that Goseiger's production team simply didn't know exactly what their show would be yet.

Gokaiger, meanwhile, was so far along in production that Goseiger vs. Shinkenger's writer could even include an extended dialog sequence for the characters that is completely consistent with their portrayals in Gokaiger. This makes me think that either Gokaiger was in development longer, or just suffered fewer behind-the-scenes setbacks.

Something interesting: a lot of the Goseiger episodes in the first two story arcs that show the most trace elements of the more assertive show Goseiger was probably meant to be, rather than the more corporate and safe show we got instead, were penned by Naruhisa Arakawa... who is the head writer on Gokaiger.

since I don't really have a good sense of humor, here you go:

I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am.

One thing i thought it was a bit odd was that likely by the time Shinkenger Vs. Go-Onger the Goseiger where training on Earth before Heaven's Tower Was destroyed, right? Weren't they a bit tribe driving those days...like.. the change they would appear together at the same time like that unlikely?

as for the movie, rewatched again, as for as much as I might like mr Tani chiaki he behave like a douche most of time! You are not on my list anymore mister!!!!

I think we should reserve judgement on Chiaki before the sub comes out and explain why he was upset with the Goseigers, but I can understand why he was pissed. I mean, not long after he joined the battle, Takeru was kidnapped in a battle that involved one of Goseigers' nemesis. And Chiaki does wear his emotions on his sleeves most of the time. Besides, he did apologize afterward, didn't him?

Really missed Genta btw... He's cheerfullness and bright personality was awsome, and I missed him!

Yeah, I really like Genta as well. I don't know why some people dislike him and his cheerful attitude, and I'd imagine that his counterpart from PR Samurai will probably be alot less cheery than he does.

It's out? :o
Was the Abarangers' Kyouryuuya(and their curry) mentioned in the team up? It has been referenced since the team-ups from aba's era..

Yeah, you got it. Chiaki really didn't do anything especially bitchy IMO. He didn't know who Alata was and didn't have any particular reason to believe he could back out his reassurances of "it'll all work out somehow."

If anyone's the bitch in this movie, it's Ryunosuke... but of course, lovably so.

Personally, I enjoy all the personalities displayed by the Shinkengers in this movie. Between Ryunosuke & Chiaki's display of anger, Genta's usually cheerfulness, and evil Takeru, there's alot going on. I just wish Mako and Kotoha had more stuff to do, but they are both very pretty so I'm not complaining. On the other hand, I don't think Goseigers were equally as entertaining, though.

I think Mako, Kotoha, and the Goseigers come off pretty well, though perhaps not in a way that's appreciable without subs. Chiaki, Ryu, and Genta are very larger-than-life personalities so it's understandable that their stuff would stand out the most.

I personally thought Hyde had some amazing deadpan moments. His interactions with Ryunosuke and Kotoha were tops.

Maybe Goseigers will come across better once we have the sub to know what they are saying.

Well, if you're just not a fan of Goseiger you might just straight-up not find the characters appealing. That's okay, though.
