And ironically enough I have a question about underarm shaving. It seems no matter how close of a shave I get to where it FEELS perfectly smooth, my underarms are still a bit gray. I'm also horrendously pale (like 'creature of the night' pale). Does the being pale attribute to essentially seeing the hair follicles still even when I have a close shave?

Gah... this would definitely be helpful. My mom used to give me creams to help bleach those areas (and not just underarms; I scar really easily), but they don't work that well.

I just learned not to raise my arms while wearing something sleeveless :P

Bikini waxing is the devil. NEVER AGAIN I SAY! lol

Really? I actually didn't mind it. I would go on a regular basis except that it's RIDICULOUSLY expensive. :redface2: I just shave~ lol

wanna know a really simple and cute way? Go to one of the schools and ask then for their milk crates. They usually throw them out and you can ziptie them together to make cute multicolored cubbies

That's actually a great idea~ I work at a school, so I may find a few that I know they won't be needing and maybe spray paint them a different color or something.

Alabama should come first >.> Srsly if you can just get here, i'll do all the cooking and you can stay with us, so you really don't need to save that much lol.

But~ but~ what about the awesome pictures I could be taking with a sparkling new DSLR camera?

lol, I know I shouldn't drop money right now on snowboarding equipment, but I am so tired of renting equipment since I broke my last snowboard (I landed on my first [and last] jump completely wrong. I'm just happy I didn't break anything else~).

And yeah... never renting boots again. The idea grosses me out~

By the way, I would react the same exact way.

*sigh* Mamoru will forever be my first love. Is it sad that my idea of the perfect dude stems from him? (And more the manga Mamo-chan. The anime one was a dick, albeit still incredibly cute~ lol)

Yeah, I get that too (I'm also pale as can be). I do think it's the follicles, though I haven't done any research or anything. Have you thought about maybe using nair on them, just as an experiment?

(I've only used nair once, on my legs. It was nice-smelling lotion-y stuff, and it really did keep them smooth a lot longer, but my legs are so long it's just too much of a pain to keep buying the stuff. :()

I sort of feel better knowing I'm not the only one who has a problem with shaving and the hair never quite disappearing.

I remember using Nair at least once, but I also remember hating how it smelled. That was a pretty long time ago though.

I do the same. I just don't raise my arms. Hmm I have a doctor friend, maybe she can answer if for us >.>

I have some nice bikini line shavers that are only $1 for like 6 of them. They're great. I have SUPER sensitive skin so any kind of waxing is a no for me. And that sucks it's expensive for you. The spa near my house does it for $15 (includes bikini line and anal area, and the after cream to prevent ouchie skin)

That's actually a great idea~ I work at a school, so I may find a few that I know they won't be needing and maybe spray paint them a different color or something.

That would be really really cute, and you can configure them in a cute shape

LT works at Sears >.> Save up and buy from him?

All waxing totally kills my skin.I just can't. Though I did try the spray on, wipe off stuff (which is HEAVENLY for my legs), but it doesn't help my underarms.

So this problem seem to be common hmm? I don't feel so alone ^^

I highly recommend the Sally's Spray On Show Off Spray (dunno if that's the real name, but it's close enough lol) When it comes to my legs it is PERFECT and my legs stay smooth for a couple days. Plus it only takes 3 minutes so it's really easy.

LOL is it bad that I liked Sailor Moon as a Kid?
I recalled being the only guy boy watching it in 1st grade, then sometime in 3rd grade I put sailor moon stickers all over my lunch box XD

Oh, and I also love the live-action series too XD

*ahem* Aren't you a boy?

As of now.....nope.
:D

Edit: okay scratch that....I scared myself doing that, I'm a boy again.

*points to the door* Out.

BTW Ladies, I talked to my friend that's a Doctor. She said it does attribute a little to our pale skin, since when we shave we're only cutting the hair that's above the surface, not below. She said another can be the speed at which our hair grows, that it's like those guys that shave yet still have a 5 o'clock shadow.

I asked her what to do about it, and she said waxing, or special cremes are really the only help. She said tanning would possibly help, but she's pretty adamant against tanning haha

Hmm, I might try that out some time. Being cursed with pale skin and dark hair, my leg hair gets quite...well, visible.

Though, not right now. It's getting colder and colder, so my legs are probably going to be covered up from now until March.

I absolutely understand on that front.

The Sally's stuff is wonderful, but first you should just test it on a small patch. I know I usually ignore the test patch stuff, but when you have a spray on thing that's pulling the hair out of your skin... yeh you should make sure you won't have a reaction to it.

It does indeed tingle, but if it burns, wash it off. And when it says 3 minutes, it means 3 minutes exact! lol And when I remove it, I spray off the stuff immediately, then I go back with a wash cloth and wipe in the same direction the hair grows to get all the hair off. After that, smooth for days!
