“Seonam Girls’ High School Investigators” (aka “Schoolgirl Detectives”) is a 2014-2015 Korean drama series, with 14 episodes, based on the novel of the same title. This K-Drama can be categorized as Crime and Mystery, High School, Romance, and Comedy. SUMMARY: In “Seonam Girls’ High School Investigators”, four (4) female students at a private all-girl high school form their own investigative team and meet regularly to solve mysteries. This sounds like a fun throwback! I love how these girls take charge and solve mysteries. It reminds me a little bit of "Veronica Mars" with a Korean twist. The whole "biting pervert" case sounds bizarre, but I'm curious to see how they tackle it. Plus, a teacher with a secret? Now that's intriguing!

Yes, girl power! These high school detectives sound awesome. Dealing with bullying, a creepy stalker, and even a shooting? They're braver than I was in high school! Love that they have a supportive teacher too. Viki viewers giving it a 9.3 rating is a good sign. Thanks for the recommendation!

I find the premise of "Seonam Girls’ High School Investigators" really intriguing, especially with its mix of crime, mystery, and comedy. The balance between serious issues like bullying and lighter comedic moments seems like it could provide a nuanced portrayal of the challenges high school students face. It’s refreshing to see a drama that goes beyond the typical romance-heavy storylines in K-dramas and delves into issues like suicide and harassment. The idea of high school students becoming amateur sleuths, much like Nancy Drew, feels nostalgic yet relevant. I can see how this series appeals to a wide range of viewers, especially those who enjoy stories that address real-life issues while still being entertaining. The idea of a teacher supporting their investigative activities but having a potentially mysterious background adds another layer of complexity that I’m curious to see unfold

While the concept of a group of high school girls solving mysteries sounds interesting, I have to wonder if the show manages to handle its serious themes with the weight they deserve. Topics like bullying, harassment, and suicide are incredibly sensitive, and I’m curious if the show treats them with the depth they require, or if they’re just used as plot devices for the sake of drama. Also, the idea of these amateur sleuths being as good as professional investigators stretches believability a bit for me. I understand that it’s a K-drama, so there’s a need for some suspension of disbelief, but I hope the series balances its more far-fetched elements with grounded storytelling. That being said, I’m still curious to see how it all plays out and whether the show can really live up to its intriguing premise.

Nancy Drew" vibes? Sign me up! I love a good teenage sleuth story. Did the girls use actual detective skills, or was it more like lucky guesses? Also, how did you feel about the ending? Did they tie up all the loose ends

It is so much fun! That's why I described as "cutesy". As for the teacher? I was dying to learn his secret.

One of my kids loved to read about The Hardy Boys. But I liked both: Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys. I always like to see the Korean version or take on American TV shows or movies. Also, I like anything that encourages females to be independent.
