Alright, I got a chance to watch TVNs release of ep 28 (Chopper's debut). I enjoyed it about 100x better than watching it raw and alot of **** was cleared up.

I suggest before you say Ken/Chopper is a dissapointment, that you watch the subbed episodes. I'm so pumped now for this arc surrounding Ken.

I need to return to Geki... I stopped at like...episode 24 and only saw the Violet and Chopper battles.

Never stop with Geki. It's the best Sentai in a long fucking time and imo has restored all respect to this genre and taken it too an entire new level where even poser non-fans can enjoy.

I don't really care for Ken. He is just a carbon copy of Jan and feel like he is going to steal the spotlight and force Ran and Retsu even more into the background. I do not find his antics such as chasing Jan in a truck at all musing.

I disagree with that Gekiranger being the best, is still falling into same traps as the other super sentai series- too much development for the red and the "sixth", while other rangers get one or two filler episodes but no real meaningful development. Only thing different is that they are developing the main villian, but still 80% of characthers are flat and boring.

Can I suggest this:

If you feel you were let down, chances are you were reading the *spoilers* thread and knew about it before hand. But those who didn't and knew nothing about it didn't feel let down. You kind of have to watch every episode without knowing the next one. Don't forget, GekiChopper has something of a TAE KWON DO KARATE theme to him and GekiViolet is a KICKBOXER. The main three have a KENPO KARATE theme. They're three different styles but equally as strong as the others.

But it teaches you a lesson: Back away from the spoilers later in the season.

I avoid spoilers like the plague. All I knew about Geki Chopper was his name. I hadn't heard anything about him. I still felt let down.

Even though Ken's debut was in pale comparison to Gou's debut in Episode 25, i still like Ken because of his importance in the next few episodes and the great power that we did not see that could appear.
