Forms, or Riders?

There's not a single thing wrong with the classics. I agree it's handled better in Showa era shows, but it's not like EVERY show had just one Rider with just one form, and it's unrealistic to think that they'd make a show like that today.

Its all about the money today. Bandai wanted to sell more toys so Toei has to compensated in the shows. Shows like Metalder and Denjiman wouldn't sell well in today world so in toku today, there are more warriors, power ups, and form changes.

people always say that, but the VERY FIRST Rider series had more than one rider, both of which got form changes. The rider series after that ALSO had two riders. Stronger had an outright upgrade. Showa had these things, just not as much as Heisei does.

Very true. There's really few series that actually only have just one Rider in them with no changes/upgrades. Although I consider cameo appears from other Riders to be "more than one Rider", because they're usually important to the story in the way having multiple new Riders in a series would be. Like, V3 would not work without Rider 1 or 2 being in it. They're as essential to the story as Riderman is. X-Rider's show needs V3 & Rider 2 to show up in it, it brings to close a thematic strand from waaaaaaaaaay back at the beginning.

I remember watching an episode of X were V3 saved X rider from Napoleon Spider Kaijin, and it was AWESOME.

I do wish there'd be some in-show team-ups like in the showa days. Those are some of my favorite episodes.

edit:

I think Amazon, Super-1, and Black are the only series I can think of that ONLY single rider action with no form changes. You can only count Black if you don't count Shadowmoon as at least an evil rider.

Anyone see what I said?

just wish they'd pull an Ultraman Mebius and bring back all the classic riders(1 to Black RX) one last time.

I've been wondering for a while,
what do peple like more in Kamen Rider?

-less Riders with alot forms
or
-Alot of Riders with less forms?

As for me, I like more riders. It makes the show more interesting.

I think this sort of presupposes that you HAVE to have either of them at all. You could have less Riders and not resort of a lot of alt. forms. I know I say that as a Kamen Rider Kuuga fan but still..

Too much of either hurts the shows as IMO we have seen. While I don't know that I would do away totally with other Riders because hey, sometimes it works but I think Kamen Rider was designed more as a lone hero show and I prefer that they play closer to that more often than not, meanwhile letting sentai be the team show afterall. ..if they're gonna have more Riders at least stop finding gratutious reasons for them to fight each other instead of the real threat. Especially when characters have completed arcs earlier in the series where they finally got the hell over themselves and wised up to teaming with the hero.

True, though Amazon has an upgrade in his human form. I mean, at a certain point he wears a jacket instead of runnin around all naked:-)
And a white dress that's awesome on him.

They need to bring the showa riders back team up with the heisei riders.
And have SHOCKER be revived as DEATH SHOCKER and revive all major villains from all series for one ultimate battle against the Riders.

Think 20 + riders vs SHOCKER plus all major villains from all series.
