I don't think eating a live octopus/squid is so bad, because you kill it when you chew it. Its pain (if it feels any) is short lived.

not necessarily. It could survive the chewing, but when it goes into your body.. It doesn't have much time to live after that. Myself I love squid, but it needs to be dead first

I understand that different cultures embrace different animals for food for many good reasons, and I admire that they use EVERY scrap part, which is not something many North Americans do...but...my own heart can't take it when its a domestic animal that I've grown to love.

There's an even worse video then that, that involves the dog&cat but I knew you couldn't take it. It's fucked up I know. You wouldn't wanna see how my uncles kill pig or goat. Oddly enough though I get used to it. I'm just glad that there's some understanding instead of resorting to stupid arguments :thumbs:

How does your cousin do it? Do you know? I only follow my uncles if they need more guys helping. If I remember correctly, we put the pig in a cage like thing where it lifts the pig up so it won't move. I think we also tie the feet in the process. We let the pig bleed to death by slicing it's neck...I think...can't really remember...yah I'm pretty sure that's the case. The blood is precious so we gather the bucket every time we're about to slice the neck.

The first list wasn't that bad (except for the live donkey), I mean the preparation of the food is a bit cruel and unusual but I would eat most of the things on that list (except for the live donkey). I mean foie gras? That **** is fucking fantastic.

See, I don't mind that. I doubt I would be able to watch the actual killing, but that's fast. Or so I think it is. Maybe I am wrong. But we have to eat. And if we want to eat meat, whether directly or indirectly, the animal is dead because we are eating it. I just don't like when it's done in unneccessary ways. The whole live fish thing? You don't NEED to eat the fish like that. Even if it DOES taste better, which I doubt it does...we don't need it to taste that much better. If you enjoy that I'm not saying OMG YOU'RE A TERRIBLE PERSON! Just don't go pushing that plate of fish in my direction.
